I wonder how Adobe engineers reacted when Apple engineers told them to just enable the `NSMightNeedToWorkAroundBadAdobeReleaseBug` preferences key to potentially fix the issue they were having. Kinda funny that every app on macOS checks for this preferences key on launch.

Turns out you CAN go from Final Cut Pro on Mac to Final Cut Pro on iPad! Even Secondary Storylines come across, and custom Motion Templates. You can't modify colour board effects, but they are applied. This kinda changes... a lot. #fcpx

Coolest Final Cut Pro 10.7 feature… they’ve enhanced “Reveal in Browser” so now if you’re in a keyword collection in the browser, it will stay in that collection if you reveal a clip from the timeline that’s in that collection. No longer goes back to the “base” event! Woohoo!

My thoughts on FCPX for iPad. This is my first new iPad since the original release. FCPX is SO much more intuitive than LumaFusion, Premiere Rush & DaVinci Resolve for a new iPad user. It's SUPER fast and easy to get your head around. Great user interface. Simple, yet powerful.

After spending a day with Final Cut Pro 10.6.7 on a new, big and complex timeline, with heaps of Motion Templates, effects, stills and random footage, it's pretty buggy. Have had to restart it a few times due to Viewer going black. Would stick with 10.6.6 if I was you. #fcpx

The Jellyfish App makes mounting NFS shares a one click operation. It’s been seriously optomised for great NFS performance on Mac. It’s basically a Promise Pegasus, with 10GbE ports.

Apparently when you're working on a massive Final Cut Pro library, like a long-form doco with HEAPS of footage, creating Smart Collections can grind to a halt, so I've throw together this Workflow Extension. Is this of interest to anyone? #fcpx #postchat

7 weeks later, and we've finally finished our first ever 5min Unreal Engine Short Film. UE 4.25.4, 71.4GB project, 553 Perforce commits, 72 crashes, Mocap, Face Cap, Blender... it's certainly been an adventure. Can't wait to explain and share more details in the coming weeks!

The @Frame_io are pretty amazing… after tweeting and reporting this I was contacted by multiple senior engineers and managers at . They reproduced the bug and fixed it - it’ll ship publicly on Monday. Thanks Emery, Bill, Patrick, Kellan, Amisha & Team!!!

Has @Frame_io broken the "Download for Final Cut Pro X (10.4.0 and later)" button? When I click this, it just downloads an empty file. Is anyone else seeing this? I started getting a lot of Marker Toolbox support emails saying it doesn't import fiojson files anymore. Doh!

The product manager for FCPX is a professional editor. A lot of people at the top of the “open letter” to Apple are also on their professional advisory committee. Pretty much all the features in 10.7 are for pro’s. Apple is listening and does care.

Apple have been working on timeline and waveform performance for years. Looks like they’ve finally nailed it in the iPad version, so fingers and toes crossed the improvements have been ported across to Final Cut Pro 10.6.6!

One thing I was looking for in @iJustine ’s video on #FinalCutPro for iPad was how waveforms would behave when zooming in & out. You can see where she pinches to zoom on the timeline & the waveform on the music track doesn’t flicker or visibly redraw. It finally looks smooth!

@DanSvoboda @avideomakr Totally, but weirdly, I feel like I can do ANYTHING in Final Cut Pro really quickly. I drive it like a Flame/Smoke. It FEELS creative. When I jump in Resolve, I feel like a technician/surgeon - not a musician. Ironically, I also don't use that many third party tools in FCPX.

@tldtoday @LumaForge @shaunbarnett_ @ijustine @austinnotduncan @MKBHD @UrAvgConsumer I’ve setup and used lots of serious shared storage over the years, but the Jellyfish is the first NAS I’ve ever just been able to turn on and start using without messing around with an admin console. It literally works out of the box. Don’t even need to type IP addresses.

Gyroflow is post-processing video stabilization software based on logged motion data. Gyroflow can produce gimbal-like stabilisation with no or minimal weight penalty. ... and I'm currently working on bringing it to Final Cut Pro! Woohoo! #fcpx
