Jeremy Corbyn did more in four years of opposition to challenge the neoliberal dogma that's infected out political system since Thatcher, than Blair did in 13 years of government
@chelleryn99
The key piece is that Blair didn't fail to change anything - he thought Thatcher was right and carried on in the same direction. No surprise that both were of dictatorial character. Control freaks who were/are 100% convinced of their infallibility.

@DanielFooksArt
Yes imagine a Corbyn govt. Privatisation of the NHS ended, austerity ended, billionaires made to pay some tax, Green New Deal. Breaks my heart not enough people could see this. Lies and smearing destroyed this option.
@chelleryn99
And in the process assisted the Tories brexit agenda and helped BJ secure an 80 seat majority.
All this posturing is a gift to the right
Winning is what matters. Give me Starmer any day over useless JC
@chelleryn99
Exactly. And Blair was actually a continuation and expansion of Thatcherite fundamentalist neoliberalism and disaster capitalism : increased privatisation, PPE, light touch regulation, the housing market casino, abandonment of working class in favour of the βaspirationalβ etc.
@chelleryn99
Challenged it! Yeah but he didn't change it. Before you can change anything you gotta get elected first. And that may mean you have to get dirty and compromise.
@chelleryn99
But the general public found Corbyn and The Left totally toxic and they were rejected, thankfully. Blair was one of Labour's greatest leaders and achieved much for us all
