If Tesla’s self-driving tech can’t handle obstruction-free multi-lane highways how on Earth will it cope with more complex scenarios? Pedestrians, cyclists *and drivers* should not be put at risk by such tech.

I obtained surveillance footage of the self-driving Tesla that abruptly stopped on the Bay Bridge, resulting in an eight-vehicle crash that injured 9 people including a 2 yr old child just hours after Musk announced the self-driving feature. Full story:

A. Cycling centrally isn’t a new rule, it’s been in the Highway Code for many years. B. Real motoring orgs — such as RAC and AA — are in favour of the extra wording in revised Highway Code.
