RIP to Hank, one of the best racetrack ponies that ever lived. I’m not too sure how old he was but when I bought him at CD in 2003 I got a good price because he was “already old and didn’t have that many miles left”. He retired from the track in 2015 and passed away today 😢

Flightline is an amazing horse. As great of a modern day racehorse that you could ever hope for. There is really no reason he should keep racing. Has proven greatness. Has no rivals to beat. No new worlds to conquer. No race he won’t be 1-9 in. Only downside exists.

Anyone arguing against Equinox as a great horse is laughable. That said the idea that every great horse that comes down the road has to be declared “the greatest” is silly too. Enjoy the great horses while they are around, they don’t last long these days.

Dear Breeders Cup, I hate to sound like the ugly American but some changes are probably needed to make the grass races competitive. Suggestion - All Europeans carry 138 and Buick has to wear a blindfold as well. It sounds extreme but we stink in the grass. Thanks!
