I think people miss a large point of this movie; implying that dying in a glorious way for others, being a martyr/pawn for a war… is not something to aspire to.
It’s very anti-war (surprise, it takes place during the Vietnam War!)
I think that’s why this scene is important.
VFX artists have long been abused by the industry. Vendor-side artists make up the vast majority of workers on your favorite movies, especially AVATAR.
Its been a long time comin' 💙
Meet Equus ferus, otherwise known as the pre-domesticated wild horse, and the ancestor of all modern domestic horses. It evolved in North America around 1.2 mya.
Painting by yours truly. (1/5)
Its official, I am a new animator for Prehistoric Kingdom!
Really excited to be apart of the team 🦕
If you wanna tag along for the process, follow me over on Twitch! Gonna stream my anim work, starting with Coelo 🦏
This is the Daeodon walk animation that I did for Forgotten Bloodlines: Agate. This will be used for many scenes, with anim layers on top for individual shots and actions.
Look forwards to a finals-level render by Max, (and more animation by me) in the future!
Parahippus concept for the Forgotten Bloodlines documentary I am working on. This one was a ton of fun that had a lot of help from around the paleo-sphere.
A horse of course!
Just in case people were doubting the validity of my artistic prowess and capability in commenting on commissions of the equine variety, here is my shire sculpture I am working on.
Tyrannosaurus is gonna fight Giganotosaurus in a scene meant to be "accurate to life 65 million years ago" in Jurassic World Dominion.
So them being on separate continents and almost 30 million years apart is just kind of forgotten I guess.
Did some part time work for
@PrehistoricK
, and animated some of the Woolly Rhino's anim cycles!
Here is the canter I animated with a bit of ✨flourish✨added with anim layers.

Life on Our Planet: could've been great but just decided to be stuck in 1993 in both art and representations of animal behavior. Brought absolutely nothing new to the table and just rehashed the same, tired tropes.
A drastically missed mark.
This article flies around every few months. The woman pushing this has no scientific foundation for her findings and genetic research on Equus ferus outright disproves this. Really not trying to step on Native people's traditions and culture but this has no basis outside of it.
