It doesn’t seem tenable for the government to say foreign interference is real and worrying, but trust us nothing happened, we can’t answer questions or share information and no to a public inquiry. I don’t believe the politics of that works.

I had to listen to this 3 times to make sure I heard correctly. Conservative MP @Cooper4SAE tells Foreign Affairs Minister @melaniejoly in committee, "You've talked tough with your Beijing counterpart, so you say. You even stared into his eyes. I'm sure he was very intimidated."

If the Conservative leader wanted more facts, why didn’t he ask the PM during their meeting? Instead he put out a statement that he was aligned with Trudeau, until he later decided to knife the PM instead.

Justin Trudeau recently passed a law to ban any non-approved media sources. Now there are massive wild fires in Canada and the government is blocking anything that is not the official narrative. This is not in a third-world nation, this is Canada. That’s why we always have to…

The leadership of CSIS will at some point have no choice but to confirm or deny what Global's sources are presenting as facts. Trust in CSIS is called into question and "we can't reveal" is going to be an insufficient response.

The world feels less stable, and risks of conflict are rising. This seems like a risky political choice for the Liberals, and one that is hard to square with other statements they make about geopolitics.

Let Putin win, let the planet burn, let the hungry starve, let the children fend for themselves. Without proposing some other way to improve upon the work the UN's does to try to stabilize and solve global problems, that's what this Conservative policy really amounts to.

A few days ago I used the phrase “legalize housing” and I saw that people had questions. The reality is, many cities and neighbourhoods don’t allow you to build the kinds of homes that are going to help solve the housing crisis. We’re working with cities to change that.

Good idea to trigger a challenge - and tying funding to getting it done is exactly what taxpayers would and should expect. Provinces can support and embrace or should explain to their citizens why they didn't.

We’re putting $6 Billion on the table to build infrastructure that is required for homebuilding. If Provinces want this support, we want them to make it easier to build homes, and cheaper for taxpayers, including by building more homes where infrastructure already exists.
