🎣Last weekend, Hobo Camp, along the Bizz Johnson Trail, was a popular place for families participating in the 35th annual Junior Fishing Derby in Susanville. The event was open to youth aged 2 to 16, which allowed them to fish one week before regular fishing season opens.

🎉 #FinallyFriday The Cadiz Dunes Wilderness, within the Mojave Trails Nat'l Monument, consists of over 19k acres of sand dunes that were formed by north winds pushing sand off Cadiz Dry Lake. Because of its Wilderness designation, no motorized equipment or vehicles are allowed.

🦆Placement of wood duck nesting boxes on #publiclands has provided artificial nesting areas to alleviate the loss of natural nesting habitat. Wood ducks will readily use these nesting boxes which has contributed to an increase in their population numbers. #WildlifeWednesday
