Tips for #SOAP2023 1. If you get the dreaded email, DO NOT PANIC. Although you will panic. 2. Take the time from 930-11am EST to get through all the feelings. Shout, scream, cry, vent, workout etc. Get the negative emotions out the way as you’ll need the energy to focus.

Rural Family medicine is wild. In one day you can go from seeing kids with strep & Covid infections to Squamous cell carcinoma excision to acutely managing a stroke patient while you wait for the ambulance. I’m absolutely loving this rotation. We don’t give enough credit to PCPs.

My one interview tip I find worth sharing: No one is more of an expert at being you than you! Be yourself in interviews. Words will flow easier, body language won’t be tense & you can bank on your expertise of being YOU. If they’re interviewing you, they already like you!
