The only other time I recall a southern Illinois school playing for BOTH the basketball and football State Championships in the same Calendar Year, was in 2015, when Belleville Althoff was in both title games. But they aren't a PUBLIC school. Nashville is. Good Luck Hornets!

BREAKING: Tonight Mt Vernon Twp High School accepted the resignation of Doug Creel as grad basketball 🏀 coach and AD. Creel is the winningest coach in Rams history. He will stay on staff for roughy 120 days to help with the transition to a new AD. Rams were 23-6 this year.
