I am SO excited to share that after 10 years as a member, I’ve accepted a staff position with my union—the NewsGuild of New York!!! Today is my first day. I’m on cloud nine. I can’t wait to work with our members as they rack up more incredible wins! 🥰🙌✊🎉
Due to BLM / Antifa TERRORIST violence, I thankfully had a police escort from the Trump Hotel to my Lyft.
The streets of DC were a war-zone, but I was left defenseless bc of anti-gun Democrats who run this city.
I will work every day to END every gun-free zone.

Cuomo was just asked what he'd say to people who are upset that because they can't work, they are out of money and the government isn't helping them fast enough. He said that they should go get a job as an essential worker.
I can’t get over how these are just proliferating and getting bigger every day. Running out to meet this march now, one of several happening in uptown Manhattan today. Never seen anything like it!
The Mets and Marlins took the field, had a 42-second moment of silence, and then walked off.
The only thing left on the field: a Black Lives Matter shirt.
I cannot overstate how bonkers it is to submit your presidential campaign's "brand identity" to try to win a shorty award. Presidential candidates should not be trying to win shorty awards.
My best friend has been trying to get me to watch Schitt’s Creek for years and I’m finally trying to get into it. I’m on the 7th episode and I haven’t laughed once. Has anyone else had this experience?
Gov. Cuomo on following COVID-19 rules: "If you’re socially distant, and you wore a mask, and you were smart, none of this would be a problem — it's all self imposed. If you didn't eat the cheesecake you wouldn't have a weight problem."
@archibaldcrane
The murder rate in St. Louis is one of the worst in the nation consistently. The city lacks resources and is plagued by blight. Racial segregation, poverty, local government that cares more about building stadiums than funding social programs, a lack of economic opportunity...
I would argue that Sanders is the only candidate who is honest and forthcoming about what it will require to achieve his agenda. He says it in every speech. A mass movement is necessary, whether you like it or not, to achieve the demands he's laid out.
Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg — none of them have a plausible path to passing the agenda they’ve promised.
Enter epiphany politics, and its toxic cycle of high hopes and deep disappointments:
I don’t like to admit this but I really want to know what Trump is doing tonight and I think that’s really dysfunctional! I’m alarmed by my conditioning!
After another year of massive layoffs in media, the remaining workers get to be responsible for like 4 different full time jobs at once while getting paid for one. This is a listing for a position at a local affiliate of a major national media corporation.
My uncle passed away early this morning at 60. He was hospitalized with Covid in March and had several severe strokes following his infection which he couldn’t recover from. He went into hospice 6 months after his Covid diagnosis, and died a week later.
I stand with
@newyorkerunion
workers walking out today and fighting for a first union contract. The New Yorker should sit down with its workers and negotiate a fair contract in good faith.
If you're in the national press and will be on TV at any point today and being to feel the need to weep joyously, just hold it in until you find a private place. Nobody is expecting any adversarial coverage over the next 4 years, but it's just a matter of personal dignity.
Probably my favorite part of my job is when
@kenklippenstein
gets into a beef with someone on here and
@thenation
's mentions are all just people trying to get him in trouble for like 36 hours
No one should attack
@Culinary226
and its members for fighting hard for themselves and their families. Like them, I want to see every American get high-quality and affordable health care—and I’m committed to working with them to achieve that goal.
I have discovered a website called nuts dot com that delivers things like honey mustard pretzels and rye bagel chips in 1lb bags and I thought everyone should know about that right now.
This is the grossest thing I will ever tweet but there has been an eyelash stuck in the inside corner of my right eye literally since November 2014 (I remember cause it happened the day before my best friend’s sister’s wedding) and I just got it out right now. 7 years!!!!
@archibaldcrane
St. Louis has no shortage of serious and entrenched problems, which many large cities in the US face. I won’t be glib about violent crime, which disproportionately impacts black people, as do the other things I mentioned.
This is probably an unpopular opinion but I think that someone’s wildly inflammatory, chronically combative behavior on this website should be taken into consideration when deciding whether they are fit to work in a presidential administration, among many other things.
One thing I wish people on the left were better at is recognizing grifters, scammers, phonies and posers. Or at least stop encouraging them to run for office.
Preemptively setting an 8pm curfew in NYC through the weekend is such overreach. It’s antagonistic to all New Yorkers, it’s a racist policy, it’s a de facto ban on first amendment rights and it should be rescinded.

She ran twice, she has signed up for a lifetime of possibly getting booed, which becomes more likely when she continues to rehash 2016 and trash Sanders in the media days before the Iowa caucus. You're smarter than this. You know exactly what's happening here and why.
Learned yesterday that my uncle has been hospitalized and tested positive for COVID-19. He has a young son, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers 💕
The context was about the protesters, and the reporter did a great job of framing the question in a way that it applied to everyone suffering economically whose needs were not being met by the state.
A quick fact check shows that there is no record of an "Archie Carter" ever attending a NYC-DSA meeting or event, but this probably wasn't fact checked!
He says he understands the economic hardship "but the question is what do you do about it." He means that you shouldn't go outside to protest, which, fine, but how about canceling rent/loan payments/bills/etc?
People who voted for Jill Stein did so because they decided that they didn't want to vote for HRC/Trump/anyone else. Hillary's campaign had ONE JOB! To convince people to vote for Hillary. Every vote for Jill Stein was a vote Hillary Clinton failed to earn. Sorry but it's true!
“We narrowly avoided a terrible loss of life. A dozen AP journalists and freelancers were inside the building and thankfully we were able to evacuate them in time.
The world will know less about what is happening in Gaza because of what happened today.”
It's actually so insulting and possibly sexist that they gave the endorsement to "the women who haven't dropped out yet." Elizabeth Warren has to share her NY Times endorsement with Klobuchar??
Here's a question: why can't we send coronavirus alerts explaining what to do to everyone's phone the way we do amber alerts and severe weather alerts?
Cuomo is indistinguishable from Trump today in the way he is responding to the NYT reporter. "I know you're from the New York Times but facts still matter."
