Being neurodivergent isn’t cool. It’s EXHAUSTING. It impacts my every day life. I have a medical diagnosis as to why I struggle with a lot of things that society deems as “normal” or “easy”. Even if folks can’t see it. Just a reminder to those who think it’s used an excuse.

Systems are complex. I do not see wins on either side of this equation. Using existing frameworks or creating your own always has challenges at scale. IMO you are always “fighting” for the infinite game of design at scale.

One of my favorite things is doing 1:1 research interviews on a design system. Interviewees are your customers, colleagues, and collaborators. Not only do you learn about pain points and opportunities, but you build relationships, trust, and camaraderie.

This is the best time of year to rest and recharge. What this is looking like for me: music and building a fence. It feels good to be away from the computer.
