I think a VERY big conversation needs to be had about both of these characters being voiced by white women. Let black people work in fantasy spaces… (all spaces really)
Unfortunately, the first-ever punk band is Death, an all-Black band that predated the Ramones, and Tina Marie Bell, a Black woman from Seattle, invented grunge. :) You wouldn’t have rock music without Black people or women, not even the most recent kind. Hope that helps.
@niggaolas
they’re constantly the ones blaming us for not getting their lil scholarships, taking from black culture but not liking black people, loving the idea of black people but not wanting us and siding with the 0ppress0r to throw us under the bus. Can’t say I’m surprised.
see, one of the many things I LOVED about Monster High was their CREATIVITY. Whoever gave a BLACK plant-based-themed doll twists because they look like vines ?!
somebody show this to Mattel. no matter how much they try to make Barbie "kid-friendly" by butchering her quality and whatnot, people STILL think like this unfortunately.
oh, and- (Tia Mowry did voice Sasha but because of how they were telling her to act , black) she left. that’s what I remember being said but correct me if I’m wrong.

as a darker skinned person myself, I am not surprised that they made a "lighter" version of Astranova so that she could "sell better." I am putting pressure on G3 to fix this.
