🇻🇦Catholic Convert. Protestant Christian for 25 yrs before Coming Home. Husband/Father. ☦️✝️ Encouraging dialogue with discerning brethren. Glory to Jesus
Cradle Catholics: you have to understand how wild it is for a life long Protestant when they realize Catholicism is true. It’s like this enormous weight shift. “Oh what have I been unbelieving” combined with utter envelopment of beauty. It is a seismic shift in thinking.
Thanks all 550 of you. I’m just a dad, led by the Holy Spirit to Christ’s One Church that He founded. Sharing my story with Protestants and non-Christians alike.
Why are protestants so afraid or unwilling to study Christian history? I didn't even think about it for years. No council or heresy was ever brought up by a pastor, elder, or anyone I would like to for Spiritual advice. It's as if they swept 1500 years of history under the rug.
@Pastor_Gabe
I went to baptist, Presbyterian, non-denominational churches for 25 years. Compared to the Liturgy of the Eucharist, I found it to be shallow and surface level, likes peas and carrots, compared to the True meal that is the Mass as Christianity has practiced for Christ 2000 years
@goldenkey112
25 years a Protestant. Spent 30 minutes studying arguments for Transubstantiation and found it utterly undeniable that it’s True and what Christ taught. 30 minutes to destroy 25 years of a school of thought. Converted this year.
My first time at Mass, I was struck by the 4 different readings from the Bible (OT, Psalms, NT, Gospel) and I by the reverence given to The Gospels - the standing, the elevation of the Word of God.... I've never been to a protestant Church that elevates the Gospels like the Mass
Catholics who don’t know Scripture and the Church’s teachings/history become Protestant
Reverent Protestants that study the Bible and Church history become Catholic.

Jon. I was in error like you for 20 years. Christ established One Church and I pray you feel the freedom in repenting of your schism as I did. Do not miss out on experiencing Christ’s true presence in the Eucharist. 🙏
For folks asking why, it's the constant derision of NO, our Pope, V2, push for disunity, etc. Though I've never been to TLM (none in my area), I'm sure it's beautiful, but unity and following to my bishop/pope is more important. Please pray for me.
My first 2 times in confession were beyond profound compared to what I expected. No Protestants truly confess their sins to one another. To hear from the Priest in persona Christi that I am absolved was True, cathartic, freeing. The Catholics had it right all along
"Just confess your sins directly to God"
Sounds fine on its own, but..
You don't truly understand how bad your sins are until you say them out loud to another person.
The Bible came from the Catholic Church. Jesus left us a Church with authority on earth, not a book. He knew what was truly written about Him would be affirmed by the Bishops through the power of the Holy Spirit.
So I became Catholic
I find it a little humorous that the same guy who told
@RealCandaceO
she was wrong for converting to Catholicism is now celebrating a Catholic as a hero.
There is not a single person in all of existence who would pick up a Bible, read it and then become Roman Catholic. Not a single person. That's how foreign to scripture Rome's teachings are.
@RCNonsense
His logic is spot on. This is why sola scriptura fell apart so quickly for me. It wasn't the first stone to fall from protestantism, but it was the fastest and most easily lost.
The Early Church is Catholic. Only Protestants create a fictional history to justify heresy. I repented of my schism and came home to be One with Christ and His Bride.
@rockreborn22
The Once and Forever willing Holy Sacrifice of Christ on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. Repent, be baptized, join His One Holy Catholic Church.
I started attending Mass last year after 25 years in Protestant churches. One of my recognitions was that Protestant churches, when practicing communion, were essentially LARPing on the Eucharist. Tragic consequences of schism.
Brothers and sisters, I humbly ask for your prayers. I have anxiety attacks that debilitate me in my work and family vocations, and my lack of effectiveness creates more. 🙏
Catholic fam. 1. Prayers answered. Finally met a bunch of young Catholic families at kids adoration 🙌. 2. Having good Protestant friends over for dinner tomorrow. We love ‘em but 1 is a “rapture is gonna happen any day” type of Evangelical. 🙏 for opportune moments 4 open hearts
I was Protestant for 25 years. Clearly the Holy Spirit is opening the hearts to the Truth that Christ established one Church.
Let us be One as Christ called us to be so that our witness will be loud.
Lord hear our prayer.
Candace Owens converts to Roman Catholicism, as has Eva Vlaardingerbroek and Jordan Peterson's wife, while Russell Brand does the rosary. WTF is happening to the MAM? They talk about 'freedom of speech' and convert to a Church with a long, long, history of mass murder for the
@RefrmedCapybara
It’s a reference to the Holy sacrifice of the Eucharist which mystically makes present the one and eternal sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Check out the Latin Mass explained for more detail.
@Pastor_Gabe
9 millions native Mexicans were saved when Mary appeared to Juan Diego and left her portrait on his tilma. Mary’s only role is to point people to her Son. She has led countless souls to her Son.

@Tyloxs1
I was a prot for many years. Do you seriously think Christians globally exclusively believed a lie for the first 1500 years of Christianity? For the Eucharist was the exclusive believe of all Christians ever fro 33 AD - around 1500s.
My wife and I decided that our children in no way will ever marry a dispensationalist or one who believes in Christ’s sacrifice as penal substitution or Calvinist. They distort the Gospel far too much.
@rockreborn22
The Church and The Bible teach that God intends to save humanity through his Church, and that all Christians will eventually go to Heaven. However, they do not have certainty of their personal salvation and we are to persevere to the end.
@rockreborn22
Kind sir. You can’t use the Catholic book to try and refute Catholic teaching. They are one and the same. Any modern interpretation is novel and non-Christian. Here’s a fuller explanation of the reality of mortal sin.
True story…
Protestant friend: “I have the ESV Bible which was compiled by some wonderful Christians around the world. Did priests put together the Catholic Bible?”
@jessie2013__
The scriptures and the church completely align. The New Testament was canonized by the Catholic Church.
After being a Christian for 20 years I found that the Catholic Church islet Biblical Church there is. So I joined it.
@Autumn_Armyworm
@prolifechloe
Similar story. A Protestant Christian for decades, the low and behold I found the positions untenable when reading the Bible. Confirmed this year
@XAVIAERD
The Papacy, infant baptism, call to celibacy (btw there are married Catholic priests), purgatory, and Christ said “This is my Body” are all most certainly in the Bible. Have you read the catechism?
@MarkandDenise
@AMDG_Derek
@MustacheManGood
You must be 300 years old because they’d give out bibles like candy at my Catholic school. I wasn’t even Catholic. Converted this year though. It was the only completely Biblical Church out there.
What Catholics don’t want to hear:
- Mary is not the mother of God
- The Pope is not the Vicar of Christ
- Saying the Hail Mary is Vain Repetition
- Catholicism will Damn you to Hell.
It’s 100x harder to live a Catholic life vs Protestant life: no Protestants I know Ever confessed their sins to one another. Not in Bible study, not at church, never. To examine one’s conscious and confess each sin takes effort and hard work.
Prot: "I grew up Catholic, that's why I'm Protestant."
🤦♂️
What they really mean;
"It was too hard. I hate truth. I love sin. I rather make up my own commandments. My private interpretations are infallible. I'm prideful."
The worst Protestants are always ex-Catholics.
@rockreborn22
Have you committed a mortal sin without confessing? One should always live their life humbly. ‘Not everyone who says to me, “Lord, Lord” shall enter the kingdom of heaven’ Matt. 7:21 thankfully God gave us the Sacraments as visible signs of his invisible grace
@TheRealKyleTM
My wife and I read it aloud last year after I told her that I’m becoming Catholic. Shocked her and her Protestant family. She was confirmed with me this Easter.
@americamag
Everything he started is traditional Catholic teaching. Catholic teaching has always been hard for the world to hear, but it is True and Beautiful.
In Catholic High school (I was a staunch Protestant at the time) I remember learning that the prots added to the Lord’s Prayer and trying to claim the Catholics shortened it. Boy was I wrong, like everything else about the reformation. They changed the Lords Prayer.
This realization was the beginning of the end for me with reformed theology. It opens Pandora’s box and anything can be Christianity.
Fullness of Truth is found only in the Catholic Church. So I became Catholic.
@Pastor_Gabe
Interesting. I’ve read it numerous times as well and I realized it’s Catholic from A to Z, especially Revelation which describes the Mass. It was so Catholic I became Catholic after 25 yrs a Protestant.
I went to Holy Mass this evening. Prayed for all our intentions. I humbly request prayers for my mother (she has expressed more of openness to faith lately after a bad accident) and please lift up my business in your prayers. Have some challenging decisions to make soon. 🙏
Imagine thinking the Liturgy is dead when it’s truly Christ present with us in the Holy Sacrifice of the Eucharist while rock bands and motivational talks are life.
@Byz_Cath
@ComeHometoRome
Wrong. It's God's Word to be preached to his people. It breathes life. It's calls sinners out of bondage. It orders the church for God's glory. It's not a lifeless document to be read in dead liturgical services.
It's God's book that puts on display the glory of Jesus Christ!
Starting the Liturgy of the Hours. Filling one’s soul with Scripture & prayer through out the day.
Nothing I found in Protestantism is as deep, True, and Spirit filled as the worship and Spiritual practices of the Catholic Church.
I munched on the side meal for too long.
@rockreborn22
Scripture is entirely Catholic from beginning to end. The Church compiled the book and I appreciate your trust in the Catholic Bishops to do so. I was a Protestant and thought like you for 25 years. I look back and can’t believe how blinded I was to reject Christ in the Eucharist
Purgatory is such a gracious gift from our Lord that is still so misunderstood by our Protestant brothers and sisters. What a beautiful grace-filled gift.
So we’re seeking to be confirmed and have our kids baptized at Easter. We need Godparents and we don’t know any Catholics close enough for this role. Any recommendations? Our whole community is Protestant.
@rockreborn22
@Pastor_Gabe
I’m glad you love the Catholic compiled book and learning about the early Catholic Church. I recommend reading about the 100s-400s and the Church councils. It’s inspiring and convicting. Ignatius of Antioch, a disciple of John, and his words on the Eucharist.
@Truth_matters20
@TomorrowsWar
They left because asking disciples to gnaw the flesh of Christ was too hard of a teaching to hear. But His Apostles: “you have the words of eternal life.” They did not understand (until The Last Supper / First Mass), but they believed. It is a Mystery of God
