hi! the kirby series turned 25 this year. kirby means a lot to me, so i wanted to make something special for the occasion, and i ended up with this comic. i'll post it in this thread. please enjoy. (1/8)
stranger: say, you’re pretty good at that.
me, 12 years old: thanks! i draw a lot of anime.
stranger: you should draw for a living.
me: really????
stranger: yeah.
stranger: i’m satan, by the way. from hell
a little while ago, in ff14, i encountered a random player named "princess parfait" who happened to be a dragoon at the time, and i guess i blacked out
i wrote a lot of color "tutorials" years ago, and while a lot of the advice i gave then is reductive/not even representative of my process anymore, i think this one on unifying color palettes is still worthwhile
tips for up and coming webcomic creators: drink lots of milk. you need the calcium so that every bone in your body isn't instantly pulverized into dust whenever a college student tells you "wow, your webcomic is still running? i used to read it all the time in elementary"
for those of you who have followed me here for very long, this announcement is probably unsurprising. making this webcomic has brought me much joy, but it's just not sustainable going forward. thank you for your kindness.
thank you for the kind words about Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps (Part 1)! in addition to co-writing the script, i also contributed some development art.
Because Twitter's character limit recently increased, I tried writing an experimental short story in 280-character tweets. I'll post it in this thread first, but after that, I'll also upload the entire story to this URL:
Please enjoy... 🔥
today i rediscovered a series pitch i developed 3 years ago, about a witch librarian and her mentor solving various Word Crimes. (in the short i pitched, a villain swaps the words "big" and "little" in all their books.) it was very goofy and fun to work on! 📚
lady of the shard is my comic released in 2016 about an acolyte in love with the goddess she worships. though it's over four years old now, i think it's still worthwhile
