In October, the Lacrosse girls team packed & sent 30 care packages to three different Navy ships. The Navy sailors received a variety of snacks, toiletries, and even yo-yo's!
As a thank you, they flew the Woodward flag over the USS Leyte Gulf in their combat MH-60R helicopter!

1st grade teacher Holly Gordon went above and beyond the call of duty recently, taking the time to create care packages of fun for her students. She personally dropped off the goodies, while maintaining social distancing, so she could see their smiling faces. Love this!

On Friday, our Student Transport team delivered clothing, blankets, and food for families at the Emergency Shelter in Atlanta. This is the third year that the Student Transport team has spread holiday cheer by being a blessing to others.

Woodward Academy will be closed Wednesday, January 17th, due to inclement weather and potentially dangerous road conditions. Our school interruption plan will be in place, and assignments for students will be communicated accordingly via the Classroom Portal.
WA Grows has planted, cared for and harvested over 75 pounds of zucchini and yellow squash this year. On Saturday, September 21, the first 35 pounds went to Family Life Ministries. The second harvest (40+ pounds) are weighed, bagged, and ready for delivery (see pics below).
In a very cool and unassigned project, 8th header Chloe McClure created a color-coded Periodic Table of Elements out of chocolate cupcakes topped with a white chocolate squares with the chemical symbol for each element. Most creative project ever!
