Stop Wrist Flicks. Stop L-Drills. Throwing is not about getting to a position. It’s about moving THROUGH those positions. If we want to create quality movement and fluidity, why are we starting with static set-ups? 🤦🏻♂️
Where the ball is fielded/received/ situation determines how the body moves. Focus on movement THROUGH positions. Not getting to a position. When trunk orientation changes, so does release. Lead arm clears to allow hips to open, trunk to rotate.

We’ve completely changed how we load our local athletes...based on VBT principles and not so much % intensity, as much. Using m/s framework and ranges helps us understand how they are moving that day in that particular set/rep scheme.

I just like kneeling throws. Lots of blended movements and sequential unraveling along with trunk rotation/acceleration focus presents fairly well in most athletes with this set up. Arm Behind set-up and the initial movement is key.
