Where the ball is fielded/received/ situation determines how the body moves. Focus on movement THROUGH positions. Not getting to a position. When trunk orientation changes, so does release. Lead arm clears to allow hips to open, trunk to rotate. @jenn_salling with the demo! #HLT

I just like kneeling throws. Lots of blended movements and sequential unraveling along with trunk rotation/acceleration focus presents fairly well in most athletes with this set up. Arm Behind set-up and the initial movement is key.

We use this as a warm-up but also at a much faster tempo to learn how to apply force and absorb force rapidly. Great for infielders and catchers as arm pathway will shorten for optimal release.

Common Throwing Issue: The Push Throw 🥎⚾️ When the elbow drops below the shoulder as athlete is rotating to throw, and stays below through ball release. Stems from Wrist Flicks/L-Drills as these set-ups don’t allow for efficient patterns. Learn more!
