I stopped tweeting/talking like this, especially about Nigeria. Govt has been asking Nigerians to sacrifice almost all social benefits; and not a single portion of their lifestyle has changed. Remove subsidy but it's business as usual for officials to go on publicly-funded trips.
The reality is BILLIONS (Naira) are owed to Power Generation companies because our value chain LACKS APPROPRIATE PRICING

Well, below has been my agelong view on subsidy.

If the government removes subsidy, what are our assurances that the funds would be channeled to other sectors appropriately, and not siphoned as usual?
Subsidy is like eating our tomorrow today, but honestly, I don't trust our government. Let them pay it.

That's because it's a conglomerate of hardened criminals who've collectively stolen almost $1Trillion dollars, headed by an 88yr old drug trafficker who has been a criminal for almost 70yrs, and has a vice president who sponsors terrorists. It's not a govt. It's a gang-mafia.
