Today, we were sworn in as your new Manitoba Government.
As your new government, we will put you first and make this a province you are proud of. I will be a leader for all of us in Manitoba.
Miigwech, merci, and thank you for putting your trust in us.
Manitoba – thank you so much for this honour.
Our team will give everything we have for the next four years to serve you, the people of this province.
Tomorrow, the work begins to make life better. I know we can do it. Because together, we’re capable of great things.
We started our campaign believing in you – the people of Manitoba.
And in return, so many of you put your faith in us. You came out to support us – some for the very first time. You made calls & knocked doors. You voted.
From the bottom of my heart – Thank you. Merci. Miigwech.
"What’s humorous to me is that we’re finally proposing a clear, ambitious, but necessary and grounded policy on the scale of the problem. And so it’s hard for the Republicans to refute the actual policy on its substance."
For the child taken.
.
For the parent left behind.
.
For the little ones who never came home.
.
We stand on guard for thee…

Our first official visit to the north was amazing.
We visited schools to encourage Pimicikamak youth to pursue education & health care careers, and celebrated PCN's new health centre.
Can't wait to work together to bring birthing and dialysis services to PCN.
I encourage all Manitobans to stay current with their vaccinations.
A simple, quick visit now can help you stay healthy and make the most of your time with family and friends throughout the winter.

Orange Shirt Day — a National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.
Thinking of my dad today. Did the little boy sitting alone in St Mary’s Indian Residential School all those years ago ever think we would see a day like today?
This morning I spoke with members of the Jewish community in Manitoba to express my solidarity.
I condemn the terrorist attacks against Israel, the targeting of civilians, and affirm Israel's right to self-defense.
My hope is for a swift de-escalation of this conflict.
I would encourage Canadians not to look away from this brutal racism. It is ugly & unsettling but speaks to the need to address racism, both systemic & individual.
On Orange Shirt Day let’s renew our commitment to the TRC Calls to Action & Inquiry

Hate has no place in our province.
I condemn the Islamophobic attack captured on video in Winnipeg & offer my support to the family affected and community.
It is important that we come together as Manitobans during these difficult times & stand united against all acts of hatred
It was an honour to light the first candle in the Hanukkah Menorah tonight at the legislature.
Our team was happy to welcome the Jewish community to the people’s building for this important celebration.
Today we remembered the life of Louis Riel.
He is the reason I speak French, the reason I get to serve as Premier, and the reason we are all Manitobans.
As the first Premier of Manitoba, we thank Louis for all the contributions he made to the province we are so proud of.
I’m running to be Premier ✅
Folks have encouraged me to run & I wanted to let you know that I am — I was honoured to be nominated by the NDP earlier this year.
More than anything I wanted to say thanks for the good words you’ve shared with my colleagues & I recently!
Happy Louis Riel Day!
Mr. Riel had a vision for our province: a vision of equality, where people have the right to speak French, recognize Indigenous rights, and realize our full potential living on these lands all together. Each day we are closer to realizing Riel's vision.
Because we cut the provincial fuel tax, inflation in Manitoba is now below 1%. Our fuel tax cut also brought down inflation across Canada.
Little Manitoba is doing big things!
This pup is now named Bella and was adopted into a loving home!
Let’s make sure to spay and neuter our pets, and adopt when you can.
If you’re interested in one of Bella’s litter mates you can contact Dauphin Vet Clinic🐶
Thanks
@RachelNotley
for your leadership and dedication to the people of Alberta. Your work in progressive politics has left an indelible mark on Canadians. Grateful for the wisdom & guidance you've provided over the years. Wishing joy, rest & new adventures in this next chapter!
What happened this week:
⁃ Today marks one month since our team received a mandate from you. Thank you!
⁃ We ended the MPI strike
⁃ Opened shelters for our relatives on the street
Earlier today I tested positive for COVID-19.
I figured I’d let folks know why I’ll be participating in the upcoming legislative session virtually.
It’s really important that everyone get vaccinated as soon as they can — including booster shots & vaccinations for kids aged 5-11
It was a heavy day as we grappled with the tragic events in Carman, where precious lives were lost.
I am calling on Manitobans, congregations, and spiritual gatherings across the province to pray for this family, for the people of Carman, and for your fellow Manitobans.
Every child matters. Every child needs to have access to healthy foods in schools when they need it.
Proud to stand with Minister of Education
@nello4transcona
& Minister
@jmoses6
to make this important announcement.
Thank you
@stgeorgeLRSD
for having us!
Every child matters.
Thank you Wa-say for organizing the 3rd annual Orange Shirt Day Survivors Walk.
If we have the great honour of forming the next government, this will be the last Orange Shirt Day that’s not a statutory holiday.
Together, we can fix our health care. We can make life better and more affordable for people.
We can choose to believe that change is possible. And that even when things are difficult, we can do them, together.
Today, we vote for change.
Freedom from hatred.
Freedom from Nazism.
Freedom from dying of COVID-19.
The fight for freedom isn’t over.
We’re on the side of love, democracy and saving lives.
Today, we had our very first cabinet meeting.
Our cabinet spoke about the next steps to staffing up the healthcare system, and planning how to lower costs for you and your family.
Thank you to President Chartrand and the Manitoba Métis Federation for the very warm welcome at the annual general assembly this morning.
Today I re-committed to recognizing Louis Riel as the rightful First Premier of Manitoba.
You can shuffle your cabinet all you want but one fact will remain:
It will take years to fix the damage the PCs have caused.
And they all supported it.
We have formally requested the flags at the legislature be flown at half mast for the
#215children
found in a mass grave at Tk’emlups.
It’s important this happens.

The symbols of hate, the disrespect of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the defacing of the Terry Fox statue are all unacceptable.
Vaccines are safe & effective.
Those advancing misinformation are harming our society.
It’s important for all leaders to condemn this nonsense
I’m saddened to learn of the murder of Vivian Silver by Hamas.
My thoughts are with her family and our community here in Manitoba and in Israel.
Her memory and her pursuit of peace is a bright light we will carry in our hearts during these dark times.
Abortion is health care.
@NahanniFontaine
@UAsagwara
announced new legislation today that will make sure Manitobans’ safety and privacy is protected when accessing health care.
Hello Halifax!
I am here this weekend for the Council of the Federation. Our meetings will be focused on fixing health care and lowering costs for your family.
Today - goodbye Mr. Pallister.
Soon - goodbye PC government.
The problems of the last few years weren’t just the fault of the Premier, they were the fault of the party that supported his decisions each step of the way.

To all frontline health care workers: we have your back.
We are ready to work with you to make your life better, and work together to provide quality health care to all Manitobans.

I'm very sorry to hear about King Charles' diagnosis. Facing cancer is incredibly tough, but strength and support can make a big difference. Wishing him courage, resilience, and the best possible care during this challenging time.
The Port of Churchill makes Manitoba a maritime province, and both the port and the rail line offer so much potential when it comes to international trade, energy exports and building out the supply chains that create good jobs in Northern Manitoba.
Happy I ❤️ to Read Month!
Now's the perfect time to finally dive into that book you bought months ago or make progress on your Goodreads shelf.
Let me know what’s on your reading list!
Thank you
@CharlieAngusNDP
for your unwavering dedication to serving Canadians. Your tireless efforts in advancing progressive values have left a lasting impact on our nation. Wishing you joy, well-deserved rest, and exciting new adventures in the next chapter of your journey!
Mr Pallister’s new Indigenous Affairs Minister Alan Lagimodiere on Residential Schools after his swearing in:
“They really did believe they were doing the right thing at the time”
We welcome you home for the holidays!
The Manitoba Legislature is the peoples' building and we are so excited to open it back up for you.
Please join us in kicking off the holiday season on December 2nd at 11am for our Holiday Open House!
An Indigenous Languages Commissioner isn’t going to help a single young Neechee learn their language.
If Feds want to undo some of the damage they’ve done to Indigenous languages they should be funding community-driven Indigenous immersion schools & after school programs!
We’re glad to partner with the Government of Canada to continue building on Manitoba’s Crown jewel together.
Investments in a publicly owned Manitoba Hydro will mean more low carbon jobs, more progress towards net-zero targets and lower costs for working families.
I'm very sad to confirm Danielle Adams, the NDP MLA for Thompson and a dedicated mother and partner, passed away this afternoon.
Danielle fought hard for a better life for families, northerners, & kids across Manitoba.
To our dear colleague and friend—we will miss you so much!
For the last 7 years, Manitobans have lived with a government that closed ERs. Fired nurses. Refused to pay workers a fair wage.
Today, hundreds of you came out because you want change.
On Oct 3, you can vote for one Manitoba – where we don't leave anyone behind.
We can come together as one province. As one Manitoba.
We can reject division, and come together to fix health care, and make life better. On October 3rd you can vote for a better future.

I’m saddened to hear about the passing of Brian Mulroney. My condolences to his wife and family. He believed in Canada and he dedicated his life to our country.
100 new doctors is an ambitious target - but we are an ambitious bunch.
We're making big investments to address the staffing shortage and rebuild health care, so Manitobans aren't stuck waiting for the care they need.
The clinics will offer timely and convenient care for families and seniors, while reducing pressure on ERs. Longer hours mean more options so you can spend less time in the waiting room and more time on what matters most.
The first clinic will open in Brandon.
Water is life.
Our government will always put the health and safety of Manitobans first, and this includes ensuring communities have safe drinking water.
Honoured to dance the Orange Shirt in with Sherry Starr at today’s pow-wow in honour of Residential School Survivors and the children who never came home.
Grand Entry felt powerful today. 🧡✊🏽
I am excited to work with Mayor Jeff Fawcett of Brandon to bring meaningful improvements and create a bright future for Brandon.
We will make sure that the people of Brandon continue to benefit for many years to come.
For the 2nd month in a row, Manitoba still has the lowest inflation rate in the country at under 1%.
That’s real progress - the steps our government is taking are working.
Celebrating Ed's legacy, we recounted his exceptional leadership. Ed wasn't just about achieving good things; he pursued them with a good nature - this was his politics of joy.
Ed Broadbent, I hope we will see you again.
