I chuckle when people complain about wearing a mask because it's "too hot outside." Try wearing a WOOL marching band uniform in the middle of summer while performing a 20-minute pre-game and halftime show and stand tunes basking in 100% sunlight.

I have some personal news to share with you. After two eventful years in Lincoln, I'll be leaving KLKN-TV at the end of September. I will be joining the weather team at @WHAS11 in Louisville, KY and will start in early October. Until then, I'll be forecasting Nebraska weather!

That's a wrap for me in 2021! I'm off the rest of the year, and will come back in 2022 to a new schedule. I've said goodbye to those 1:20 and 1:30 AM alarms as I move to the "dream shift" of M-F 12pm and 4pm shows. Looking forward to a normal sleep schedule, but not rush hour.

Grace Fry is 10 years old and survived a rare and very aggressive form of Leukemia a year and a half ago. She and her family will soon be traveling to Washington D.C. to meet with Nebraska's congressional delegation to advocate for children's health.

Here is the latest snowfall forecast. Things have shifted south a bit and models are now pointing to 3-4" for the Lincoln area. It's VERY important to note how tight the gradient is between these snow bands. This forecast is still evolving. Stay tuned.

Civics needs to be more than one semester in high school. It should be every semester every year. Too many people quoting First Amendment without really understanding it. Freedom of speech ≠ freedom of consequence. Nor is it unlimited. There are textbooks exclusively about 1A.
