A strong complex of thunderstorms containing penny to nickel size hail was reported in the vicinity of Central and along the I-12 area of Millerville Road in Baton Rouge. This storm is not severe but also contains dangerous lightning and 40 mph gusty winds.
It is a good idea to use quiet weather on Sunday to finalize any necessary storm preparations as conditions will go downhill on Sunday night and possibly not improve much until after BOTH storms pass.
A large thunderstorm continues to produce penny to nickel size hail, copious amounts of dangerous lightning and gusty winds up to 40 mph and has affected the area of downtown Baton Rouge and point west. The storm continues to move west at 10 mph.
While most are seeing freezing rain/sleet this morning, some have been lucky enough to see snow. The pups are loving it!
