Flash making an AI Adam West Batman without ears vs. Crisis on Infinite Earths actually hiring Burt Ward to wear a Robin colored sweater, walk a dog, and just be a wholesome old man.
@JoelWBerry
Why is everyone obsessed with that rather than the completely out of place space suit.
Star Wars doesn't do Space Suits, either they have a suit of armor that is space friendly or they send a droid. Why are we getting generic "space stuff" in STAR WARS
Yep, that’s what it SHOULD mean and imo the Jedi Council took that to the extreme by banning any kind of family connections. Kanan Jarrus, perhaps one of the greatest embodiments of what a Jedi should be, proved it could be done without touching the dark side.
Man, even though I respect that everyone has their own opinions, I really don’t get people who dislike “Disney Star Wars” as a whole.
They’ve given us Rebel, Bad Batch, The Mandalorian, and the Fallen Order series, some of the best Star Wars of all time. What’s to dislike? 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve never been able to see this scene the same since someone pointed out that the camera follows the THIRD bullet from Joe’s gun, but Barry catches it FIRST, and the other two bullets somehow follow it as if he caught the first bullet, not the third. 🥴
Ah man, not Jason David Frank. 🙁
As an adult, I haven’t been a big Power Rangers fan, but man, as a kid I sure was. Tommy Oliver was a big reason for that. Can’t believe he and Kevin Conroy are both gone in the same month.
Crap, man.
I’m so thankful that Arrow’s writers, for whatever quibbles I had over the years, recognized that the final season of the show needed to be focused squarely on Oliver (and his family).
For whatever reason, Flash’s writers did NOT get that memo.
When Cecile says to Lois, “It’s so intense…I can FEEL your GRIEF over this cancer!” and Lois unleashed the most eloquent, scathing dressing down in the history of humanity. 😭
The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace plans to pitch Arrowverse characters joining Superman & Lois' universe, provided the show gets picked up for Season 4.
My wife is a huge Star Wars fan and was before we met. Her dad introduced it to her and they bonded through it. She loves the movies, TCW, Rebels, and the live action shows. She’s even read some Legends novels. I love talking about Star Wars with her.
Star Wars is for women.
@NebsGoodTakes
Wasn’t the whole point of Jeremy’s meal to be the punchline of a joke, though? “He worked a double shift, and home and ate an entire turkey and a gallon of warm milk, then passed out.” Because those two things make you sleepy. 💀
It’s strange because I swear it didn’t used to be like this, right? Like there was always interconnectivity but not to this degree. It seems like it really only kicked in after Endgame and ESPECIALLY with WandaVision. That’s when everyone started theorizing about connections.
@ZeroYear97
People switched up? I haven’t heard anything bad about it. Just no one ever talks about it at all, more than anything. I think that’s just because it was a very heavy movie.
@NicholasPas5
To be fair the angle of his head completely changed, which is what makes this look so odd. Look where his chin ends up (mid-neck instead of above the neck). But because of that it does look like he gained eyes over his cheeks.
@RynoRaging
You realize Filoni was the one who originally came up with the Temple Guards having yellow lightsabers in the first place.
This is such a nit picky, boring complaint.
@TheQuiver_
I was thinking this last night too. I’ve seen so many “why’s she taking the spotlight from the Rebels crew” takes when the show is LITERALLY called Ahsoka. If anything they would be taking the spotlight from her.
@Jbandos
It’s almost equally funny that despite that he still has this almost instant grudging respect for her and brands her “Lady Tano,” a title which sticks with her through their meeting in Rebels, as well.
@MarvelFan4222
@Vaughanilla_
They may be small on the show but they protrude. They’re not doing that here. If they are present on the Flash version, they’re so practically invisible that they might as well not be.
@MatchesMallone
Archival would’ve been fine but that would’ve been the extent of it. And in a Flash movie, it really would’ve been better to see more Flash cameos than Batman and Superman. But if they had to do Adam West, at least the archival footage route would’ve been tasteful.
The main cast was incredible, Melissa was flawless, and we got an absolutely incredible Martian Manhunter depiction including probably one of THE very best scenes in the show.
Killing this man immediately after his redemption was the biggest injustice of TROS and the main reason I’m so hard on it. We could’ve had a Jedi maverick with the attitude of Han Solo, and they thought killing him off was the best choice?
I think it would’ve been hilarious if it turned out that the character keeping Oliver apart from his family in Green Arrow (2023) was a multiversal Felicity who snapped when she saw that Oliver ended up with Dinah in ever other reality except her own. 😭
Legitimately, this suit is so good. Glad they got pretty much the perfect look nailed down before the show ended. I know The Flash isn’t a perfect adaptation, but Grant and how he looks are NOT the reason why.
The key difference is he was able to foster that love in an environment in which he wasn’t constantly being reprimanded for his feelings and told to suppress them. He was able to reconcile Jedi teachings with real life and learn to love deeply without selfish attachment.
@bigmonkeong
@Lunwi88
“You shouldn’t have killed my mom and squished my Walkman” is both the hardest and funniest line he could’ve said there, Gunn’s blend of drama and humor is really unparalleled.
@jtimsuggs
The sound combined with the soundtrack are seared in my brain. Honestly this was the moment, sitting in the theater, when I became fully locked in to TFA.
People love to rag on “CW shows,” and they DO have their share of flaws, but the fact that Arrow spun off into numerous shows creating a far bigger universe than the DCEU and having more cumulative hours than any other live action superhero project is truly impressive.
My hot take is that if a game is going to have a battle pass then the base game should be significantly cheaper than $70 because they’re going to milk the crap out of our wallets anyway. If you want to charge us for skins and crap, sell us the base game for $50 and call it good.
@TurdInTheWind18
Same description was on Netflix. I was super confused because I definitely did NOT remember that, and watching the episode just proved me correct. It didn’t happen.
I wonder where they even got that description from. 💀
@TheQuiver_
I agree but when I realized that, it made me wonder if that’s intentional? The movie is through Krypto’s eyes, so maybe the other Leaguers look weird while Superman is perfect because that’s how Krypto sees them?
But it’s a big stretch, I know. Especially for a kid’s movie. 😅
@teentltanz
Not trying to defend ableism by any means (her disability definitely needs to be handled better in Nightwing!) but the way I read it was that he meant the authors of those other books that HAVE depicted her using mobility aids.
@TheQuiver_
It was truly baffling. In retrospect, a far better route would’ve been:
Katie Cassidy as Kate Spencer. Love triangle in S1, but she chooses Tommy.
Caity Lotz as Dinah Lance, the only Black Canary, introduced in S2.
Juliana Harkavy as Zinda Blake, introduced for a BOP story.
@ByronBiDisaster
I saw an analysis of that which changed my opinion. Basically, Luke saw that Grogu’s heart wasn’t in his training and he wanted to be with Din. Luke gave him an out to be with Din. It’s not that he couldn’t be a Jedi and care for Din. He just didn’t want to, and Luke knew that.
Since posting this, I was told that whenever an actress would refuse Andrew Kreisberg's sexual advances, he'd write their characters to be more unlikable on purpose
If you go back to the early Arrow and Flash seasons with this in mind, a lot of things will suddenly make sense
@Sinestros_Myte
I love this because it’s so tragic. Kevin did it for heroic and noble purposes - and there was legitimately no other option - but he knew full well what he was about to become.
I’m sorry, as great as the promos have been, “he’s the first superhero in his family” and “the Reyes family gets their first superhero” are really odd marketing tactics because why would general audiences care about the Reyes family specifically enough for that to excite them? 🤔
This was so perfect because as a kid the insinuation went totally over my head (I just thought she figured out he was up to something) but as an adult it’s a fresh perspective that deepens her character and the whole conflict of the movie dramatically.
I think we gotta stop using that picture of Alden because he looks so much more like Han Solo in pretty much every frame of that movie except that shot. 💀
Is it better to recast performers in order to pursue new stories with classic characters?
OR
Should we sacrifice the raw emotions that we’d receive from real life performers in favour of de-aging technology for the sake of nostalgia?
What are your thoughts?
#StarWars
BTW the whole show should’ve been like this from episode one. There were some decent fights but this one was far and away the best and it’s a shame it was saved for the finale.
@SheevTalks
It’s crazy because Obi-Wan himself says in the very same movie that Anakin was supposed to “bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness.” Media literacy is so broken.
@ComicGirlAshley
That’s just bad perception tho, especially regarding the fierce side. She was shown to be PLENTY fierce in the show. People just like to oversimplify things - as with most fiction - so they squeeze her into the “naive perky girl” cliche and act like she never behaved otherwise.
I couldn’t find a picture of Green Arrow and Blue Beetle together so instead here’s Blue Bowman and Scarlet Scarab to remind you that even villainous alternate reality doppelgängers would want you to go see Blue Beetle in theaters this weekend and tell all your friends to go too.
Green Arrow fans, what’s your preferred hairstyle for Oliver Queen?
Golden Age side part
Classic long hair
New 52 shaggy look
Modern side part (Rebirth)
