Couple months ago, during a routine colonoscopy, we found out I have colon cancer. The great doctors at Siteman in St. Louis today cut that hand grenade out of my gut. I’m feeling decent enough and on the way to recovery. Thanks for all the good wishes. Very appreciated.

If we are backing 10-2 Alabama into the Playoffs, why not back 10-2 Tennessee in over them? Yes, UT got steamrolled by South Carolina—but SC then beat Clemson, so that loss looks better now. And bama lost to LSU, which looks worse now. And UT did beat Alabama head-to-head.

It’s still astonishing to realize that, at this point in 3rd quarter of the 2019 Iron Bowl, Alabama ran 7 consecutive plays in Auburn’s red zone—4 of them 1st downs!—and the sequence ended with an Auburn TD. Really shows the value of never giving up & fighting till the very end.

#59 Brodarious Hamm & #56 Tashawn Manning signed w/ Auburn back in ‘16, but before enrolling they were both diagnosed w/ cancer. They could’ve easily given up football. Instead, they fought like hell & kicked cancer’s ass. Now they’ve earned starting roles on AU’s OL #NeverGiveUp

The nurse just called back and said my cancer markers have actually gone down since the spring— from 3.4 to 3.0. Sounds eerily like my undergrad GPA progress at Auburn! 😅 So that’s some good news today. Wooo. Thanks for all the prayers and positive thoughts, everyone.

Yes, the game was frustrating, and yes we had chances to win. But 23-20 in Death Valley to the undefeated #2 team in the country that’s been averaging like 45 points a game is nothing to be ashamed of. But dang. I do not understand why we leave so many of our weapons unused.

The impression I’m getting from various reports across the Auburn landscape is that Auburn was set on Kiffin, but then 1-2 other coaches not being considered came forward quietly. In a kind of Kelly-LSU way. We’ll see, but that would give AU some leverage anyway.

I see bama fans saying they wouldn’t tolerate 25 losses in 5 years. They’re right. They didn’t even tolerate the 24 they lost from 1998-2002. So they hired Mike Shula. And then lost 30 games the next 5 years. That’s not counting the 21 more losses (forfeits) for cheating.
