#Waycock Cross: The traffic management arrangements put in place to allow Dwr Cymru to undertake works along the highway have now been removed. We'll now take some time to discuss alternatives that allow the essential works to go ahead whilst keeping disruption to a minimum.

⚠️Cosmeston play area will be closed for an extensive refurbishment from Thursday 19 November for 10 weeks. Works to upgrade the play area will include removing all existing play equipment and replacing it with new surfacing, equipment and fencing on the existing footprint.

Heart-breaking to hear that over 200 bedding plants were stolen from Victoria Park overnight. Our Parks Team work exceptionally hard to maintain parks for all to enjoy. This is unacceptable behaviour. We're currently checking CCTV & the incident has been reported to the police.

To mark the 73rd anniversary of the NHS, we'll be lighting the Barry Island shelters and Hood Road Tunnel in blue 💙 July 05 1948 marked an historic moment in history. It was the day the National Health Service (NHS) was born, bringing free healthcare to everyone 👏

Our team has been busy delivering seeds to local schools 🌺📦 They were kindly given by Fonmon Castle as part of a project in conjunction with Wild Wales Seeds 🌷 Each packet contains approx. 25m2 worth of seeds, so up to 850m2 of new wildflower meadow creation 🌾🐛
