We’re back! It’s our 5th season posting UmpScorecards for every game every day, and we couldn’t be more pumped. We have some exciting updates that you can look forward to early next week. In the meantime, stay tuned for the first scorecard of the 2024 season tomorrow morning! ⚾️
Congratulations to the Atlanta Braves on their World Series Championship! And thanks for such a great season everyone! As always, I am grateful for your engagement and support.
Unfortunately, it appears that Twitter has suspended our use of the Twitter API, so we were unable to Tweet out the scorecards this morning. This issue is affecting many users, include other popular automated baseball Twitter accounts.
Congratulations to the Houston Astros on winning the World Series!
And great job by the umpires! For the first time since we began tracking (2015), all World Series games had an accuracy above 94% and a positive accuracy above expected. And we had a perfect game!
Need to do a bit of digging but I’m fairly certain that this is the best called game.... ever. Or at least since the pitch tracking data I use became available.
In yesterday’s Rangers Astros game, the three most impactful missed calls were back-to-back-to-back balls called strikes in the same at bat. Oh, and all with the bases loaded. ❌❌❌
Our first big announcement of
#OpeningDay
:
For the first 4 seasons of posting scorecards, we have exclusively posted here on X (Twitter). But that’s about to change. Starting now, every scorecard will be posted here and on Instagram!
Nothing will change here on X, but we are…
Pat Hoberg with the first perfect game in
@UmpScorecards
history! And in game 2 of the World Series, too.
No surprises here, though: Pat was our
#1
ranked umpire this year with an overall accuracy of 95.5%.
Hi,
Like many of you, we’ve seen the TwitterDev update announcing a new paid plan for the Twitter API, which we (and many other baseball accounts) rely on.
From what we understand, we should still be able to Tweet scorecards next season thanks to our generous supporters. (1/3)
This week, the Yankees were the most favored team across batting and pitching. Here is their weekly scorecard!

Thank you for such a great season!
Website updates, new statistics, controversial misses, the first perfect game, and over 300,000 followers; what a year it’s been.
We’ll be back next year with daily scorecards and exciting new updates. See you then!
Pat Hoberg this season: 100th percentile in accuracy, 99th percentile in accuracy above expected, 97th percentile in favor, and 94th percentile in consistency. Wow.
Today, the
@UmpScorecards
team is proud to announce a total rebrand of our platform and introduce our all new project: Grounds Crew Scorecards.
This new venture will let dedicated baseball fans analyze their favorite grounds crew’s average tarp times, grass consistency, and dirt…
