Kseniia Bolshakova, a Dolgan language activist and writer from Russia, represented the Dolgan Tribal community Yydyna at the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. Born in northern Siberia, Kseniia's work revolves around revitalizing Siberian and Far Eastern languages.
Rayen Rupayan, a Mapuche member from Chile and Cultural Survival Fellow, recently participated in the 23rd session of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. Rayen represents Wechekeche Ka Itrofillmongen, an organization that provides a safe space for Indigenous youth.
Our Fellow, Shaylin Salas, a Chamoru writer and environmental justice advocate from Guam, also attended the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. Passionate about her homeland, she focuses on initiatives related to food sovereignty, climate justice, and decolonization.
