That's a Yian Kut-ku. Garugas are brood parasites and thus lay their eggs on nests of other birds (primarily Kut-ku) and never take care of their young as a result But since Kut-ku carries its young in its mouth that means that Garuga babies still get the same treatment

Guiding Lands was overall great but I think part of that is thanks to Iceborne having a pretty varity rich endgame in general. Whenever I'd get bored of it I'd go pet hunting, coal mining, doing the current siege or finding rare ingredients etc It was a really good endgame cycle

I fought GU Glavenus now and man it really puts the Iceborne iteration to shame. The way it attacks in GU feels so much more skillful. His coloring and sound design is also better and I prefer the old theme Whoever made IB Glavenus didn't understand the monster very well

I love Rathalos haters saying “He doesn’t stop flying” He is a “flying wyvern” with wings and talons designed for being used mid flight. The monster is simply using his evolutionary advantages against you in the same way you do with a weapon. He’s the “King of the Sky”.

Breaking Kirin's horn should make it partly lose control of its lightning so that its thunder moves become more chaotic for the rest of the hunt It would be neat if some part breaks didn't directly nerf the monster but potentially made them even more dangerous as a result

It's kinda surprising to me how many people are strongly against monsters gaining minor things that would even the ground a little bit even when hunters have been busted on so many levels in 5th gen Personally I think monsters could use some more ways to keep us on our toes

She might not have the best gear, the music might not appeal to everyone and the fight could certainly be improved but it's undeniable that Namielle is one of the most gorgeous monsters and for that alone she deserves to be among the top 20 She made a big splash in Iceborne

Rampages were an immersion breaking ludonarratively dissonant nightmare and that alone is enough to make me dislike them Apex Arzuros and Ibushi were neat story moments until you realized that it's basically impossible to lose Rampages are the Zorah Magdaros of Rise

Replaying Worldborne has made me realize that difficulty might not be the problem I have with Sunrise's fights as much as it's how (un)engaged I feel during them. I probably need to think this through some more but I might make a thread about it. It's such a weird feeling

In order to close this huge difference we really need them to port or remaster the older games so they become more accessible to people. I'm sure alot more 5th fleeters would play the older games if they were more widely available Even 3DS has ceased all support by now

You might as well criticize Pokemon GO for starting with gen 1... It's a new game and they obviously want to start it off with monsters that are very well known. Regardless of what people want it makes most sense to include World monsters first

Fatalis unsurprisingly. They remade the Schrade castle, had several long cutscenes for the whole thing, did a callback to Aiden & Julius and the beginning of MHW and turned a terrible fight to one of the best in the series. And it was amazing taking it on with the whole community
