Just finished a marathon of ferry travelling. The one thing I can say is that
@BCFerries
has some truly terrific people working their butts off at a time when we’re all vacationing. Thank you ferry workers for your kindness, levity, and hard work while being under a microscope.
This bike lane has absolutely nothing to do with fighting climate change. There is a serious misunderstanding around what a bike lane in a park has to do with reducing emissions. Suffice to say, I’m very proud of the
@Vote4ABC
team on Park Board for getting this done. This video…
Last night, crews began the process of removing safety barriers separating motor vehicles from vulnerable road users in Stanley Park. This action actively harms the safety of people on bikes, and works against the city's climate change mitigation goals.

After months of watching
@KenSimCity
engage with Vancouverites, whether at a Vimy Remembrance ceremony, or walking around Chinatown - I know you will always get the same genuine guy. This is what

looks like.
Extremely honoured to be the Interim Chief of Staff for
@KenSimCity
. I look forward to continuing working with
@Vote4ABC
Councillors and our staff team to deliver common-sense solutions for Vancouverites.
I'm excited to announce that Trevor Ford has been named as Interim Chief of Staff for the Mayor's Office!
Trevor is a natural fit for this role. He has been my right hand man over the last six months and he brings a wealth of experience to this vital position.
A big congratulations to the amazing
@sarahkirby_yung
for winning the “Individual Award” at the
@downtownvan
Appreciation Awards event today! I cannot think of anyone more deserving of recognition for their tireless advocacy for all Vancouverites. Go Sarah!
The one thing I know for 100% certainty is that I work for two amazing Canadians who love our country and our city. I’m honoured and proud to work for
@LennyNanZhou
and
@KenSimCity
This is only the beginning. We still have so much work to do, but I’m glad Vancouverites are beginning to see a difference. We cannot stop driving for the change everyone is expecting to see - clean streets, safe communities, reduced red tape, and common sense solutions.
Six months after the election of the ABC Vancouver city council majority, Global News takes a look at the progress being made on one key promise, the cleanup of Chinatown.
@KRobNews1
reports.
More:
Pathetic indeed. The lack of common sense in this case is astounding! We worked hard with the provincial government to end the use of illegal substances in playgrounds and other areas with lots of children present. Let’s really consider where the “irreparable harm” is…
In case you were worried about the modest rule of not being allowed to use fentanyl in playgrounds, a judge is there to stop the “irreparable harm”. Pathetic!
If the restriction doesn’t stand, then we’ve truly entered the wild west of unrestricted drug use, anywhere & everywhere

As someone who doesn’t listen to a lot of radio, listening to

Access for everyone! As Mayor

@TransLink

@BradWestPoCo
I value the diversity of opinions on this matter - but reinstating the SLO program in a reimagined fashion is the right thing to do. Let’s continue to make our schools safe. A big shout out to
@VSB39
and the trustees, both
@Vote4ABC
and other, who showed true leadership on this.
It was an amazing honour to hang out with the members of
@VanFireRescue
along with their families today. Thank you Chief
@Karen_Fry
for inviting
@KenSimCity
and I to visit and meet with everyone. We are so lucky to have Vancouver’s Bravest on our team.
Best part about parades is that you run into old friends. I was sent this by Marcus' mom. She reminded me that Marcus & I had a picture together 15 years ago when he was in kindergarten. Same parade, same location.

Point taken, Nolan, however we promised to constantly think about ways to take Vancouver the most accessible city possible. Many people who are disabled or have limited movement do not have the luxury of biking to a park - they are at the heart of this change.
The City of Vancouver will always stand with our Jewish community. We unequivocally condemn this act of terrorism by Hamas against Israeli civilians.
Our hearts are with all those who have been impacted.
An absolute amazing visit to Vancouver Film Studios with

I’m very proud about this initiative that
@Vote4ABC
brought forward: renaming the new City of Vancouver Chinatown office after Won Alexander Cumyow, a giant of a man. Well done
@KenSimCity
and
@LennyNanZhou
for leading this motion.

This morning I was disappointed to read that an application for more much-needed childcare spaces in our city was rejected by an independent review board. Increasing childcare spaces is a priority for our communities, and I’ve asked city staff what mechanisms there are to review
Couldn’t agree more. Politics shouldn’t just be a blood sport. We will always be passionate and at time unbearable. But at the end of the day, we’re only human, so let’s all take a breath from time to time and reach across the aisle.
This is a lovely piece from Warren.
I consider myself very fortunate to have great friends across the political spectrum.
Stay human. Make friends. Fight inside the partisan arena but try to drop the gloves outside of it.

Absolutely outrageous. I hope the overdose victim and the officer are both safe. This is just another reminder of what police face everyday as they navigate sometimes impossible situations.

Simple, as with most other parties, ABC provides a structured platform. However the legislative process means that we will act beyond election promises while keeping true to them. So, we will always to do what we consider is the right thing via the legislative process. Always.

Wishing the leader of the Government of Canada a Happy Birthday is not partisanship. It's simply human. If

This shows how much Vancouver’s new government is about working with all of Metro Vancouver despite our differences and not going alone like the previous administrations have done.
We have work to do. Vancouver has 26% percent of the Metro Van population, pays more than 30% of the budget (Trying to peg the actual figure), and has 16% of the vote for chair and vice-chair. Regardless of the wonky governance model, we need to do better working with munis.
