We just heard from Los Angeles Superior Court media relations that Danny Masterson’s request for months more time to prepare for his upcoming preliminary hearing was denied this morning. The all-important “prelim” in his criminal case is still scheduled for May 18. Yikes.

Ha. I first reported that Danny Masterson was facing a potential life sentence in 2018, years before other media. Now, to save space in a tweet I said "30 years" instead of "30 years to life", and I'm being schooled by outraged law nerds. Love it.

When LAPD told me in 2013 their detectives met with Shelly, did they actually go into San Berdoo County to see her, or did she come to them, or did they just lie to me? Leah tried to find out with a records request in 2016, but the LAPD blew it off. Great cops you have there, LA.

Here we go again. A&E is confusingly calling tomorrow's episode the "finale" of #ScientologyTheAftermath 's third season. What they mean is that tomorrow is the last "regular" episode. There will be a "special" episode on Feb 12, and then the Danny Masterson episode on Feb 18.
