Tonight at @TraffordCouncil I presented our draft budget proposals for 2023/24. A £209.15m budget with an initial budget gap of £25.82m- we’ve got that gap down to £8.52m at draft stage but the last thing councils need now is Austerity 2.0 #LocalGovFinance 💷

My final engagement today was back in my own ward in Stretford at One to One Café. One to One support adults with learning disabilities & it was lovely to be served by the team- I had an amazing scone!

It’s demolition day in Victoria Park! Thanks @FOVPStretford for inviting me to a ‘ceremonial demolition’ of the old community building before a new one is built in its place- I had a great time in the digger!!
