I am excited to share that I will be the Director of Athletes and Racing working alongside
@MJGold
to help revolutionize track and bring it into the mainstream of sports.
More on this decision⤵️
(On going out hard and dying)
Cycling: What an incredibly brave performance! He rode heroically for 150km and his team will be proud of the way he attacked the climbs. The strength of the peloton was too much but so much promise for this young rider
Running: Wow very dumb idiot
On Martha’s Vineyard and just had the best run of my life.
Saw a guy coming towards me on a bike with a big pack behind him.
Me: Hey!
@BarackObama
: Hey!
Apologies for not saying Happy Birthday…
When injured and cross-training try to set small attainable goals along the way. How fast can you swim a mile? How far can you bike? How quickly can you cry yourself to sleep?
Been thinking about Cheptegi’s assault on the 10K WR of 26:17 today in Valencia — Here is roughly how good you’d have to be to rabbit some part of the race at 63.0:
Mile - HS State Champion
2 Mile - NCAA All-American
5K - Olympian
7K - Olympic medalist
8K - Kenenisa Bekele
Laughing about this memory with

from Oxy 2015. When storms cancel a meet, you’re probably not supposed to cool down with an umbrella. “But the track is rubber!”
The thing about running is that despite an incredibly shit 15 months, I’m completely convinced the next one out will go better. You’re only done when you stop believing that
Right now in college dorms across America there are teammates debating whether or not they should get in their car to drive across the country to cheer on their friends at NCAAs — do it!
My Life With Tendonitis
Wake Up: I need a wheelchair
Making Coffee: There’s no way I run
First Mile: I will Uber home
Last Mile: What side was hurting?
You know the first time you kiss someone else after a breakup and it feels weird so you have to keep reminding yourself that it’s ok because you both agreed to see other people?
The perfect running temperature is when you need to start with a thin pair of gloves but part way through you are annoyed because you can’t decide if it’s better to hold them or have sweaty hands
Does everyone appreciate how cool this is? The self-coached best shot putter ever leveraged his engineering background to invent a new technique to throw even farther! Crouser beat the old game and then changed how it’s played.
Greatness knows no upper limit.
@RCrouserThrows
breaks his own world record in the men's shotput by an astonishing 19 centimeters with a 23.56m moonshot at the LA Grand Prix.
Crouser has now improved the world record 42 cm total, redefining what is possible in the event.
‘It’s not healthy to go run 10 miles! There’s a lot of inflammation. I would say running is good for your heart and your head; other than that there’s a lot of downsides.’
-Tom Brady, 3x Super Bowl loser on Dax Shepard’s podcast
Continually impressed by the amateur athletes I coach who rip solo 400s on the track at 6am in the cold darkness of winter. I definitely wouldn’t pay someone who told me to do that
Why do runners shave their legs?
-Better massages
-Makes you look ripped
-Easier to find ticks
-Nothing about aerodynamics why is this everyone’s first guess
I don’t mean to fuel the flames of those who already worship me as a hero of the blue collar runner, but I just finished my 10 miler at the grocery store, bought two bags of ice for a bath and ran home carrying them
