I think Illegalism is one of, if not the, most crucial strand of anarchism because it it subverts and undermines the State's most important tool of control - the obedience brought about by their illusion of omnipotence, and the belief in the moral obligation to obey authority.

Calls to regulate or ban drugs, pornography, or anything else really based on the need for "a functioning society" cut to the essence of collectivism as I understand it: people's lives are not their own, but should be limited by their need to be "functional" parts of a machine.

Therapy can help with plenty of issues but what it does not do is change someone’s values and ideology. You can give an abuser insights into their trauma, work on communication skills, etc. and what you’ll have is a more insightful abuser with better communication skills.
