I have not talked to my parents for more than 260 days. The last time I talked to my parents was on the 10th of June 2021 and they were displaced as our home was under the occupation of the genocidal Eritrean army. Imagine not hearing from your parents for that long.

We know @AbiyAhmedAli is planning to bomb Tigray starting from today. A foreign UN worker in Addis tells me that the UN is aware of the plans and it has even cancelled its flights to #Mekelle . Yet, the @UNEthiopia doesn't even bother to tell Tigrayan civilians to take shelter.

I think @Twitter , @TwitterSafety needs to step up moderating its Amharic side today. The level of incitement hatred and calls violence against Tigrayans in the country today is on extraordinary. The risk of Tigrayans facing increased levels of mob violence is very high.
