Most donโ€™t understand the โ€˜ready at releaseโ€™ concept. Itโ€™s because their mechanics are momentum based not stretch based. They have no suddenness to their launch. Therefore there is no such thing as ready, let alone a controlled ready. They sweep the bat through instead ofโ€ฆ

Every ball anyone has ever hit hard, happens because the bat head snaps out in front of the hands. The less the hands go forward independently the quicker the bat head will snap. This is a tremendous view of the bodyโ€™s turn, driven by the turn of rear leg, taking the handsโ€ฆ

Your timing window includes a pause between full load and launch. The window starts with a pause. It means youโ€™re waiting not rushing. If you swing the moment you get your full load, youโ€™re rushing.

A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR ALL: The actual swing starts when the bat pivots about the hands. The great hitterโ€™s bat pivots from/at their loaded handset. The others push or pull the bat forward, then it pivots. This video shows the difference very well.
