The Governor-General lobbying the gov for $18 million in funding for a program that doesn’t seem to do anything, that doesn’t even have a website, and wasn’t publicly disclosed, is all pretty weird. We’re doing something about it. If it’s kosher, fine. If it’s not, we’ll end it.

Before politics, I spent 15 years helping people get into jobs. I’ve been unemployed, too. I want people to feel like there’s someone up in the Senate who gets it, because she’s lived it. I’ve seen it up close. I’ve felt it. And it crushes you.

Politicians talk about a health care crisis. My mum died, on a surgery waiting list. About creating jobs. I’ve driven strangers to job interviews, just to help them find work. They talk about. I’ve lived it. That’s why I’m running for the Senate.

I negotiated to deliver 1200 homes over the next five years for Tasmania. Tassie Greens Senators Nick McKim and Peter Whish-Wilson have chosen to delay building these homes. It’s on them to explain to Tasmanians why they don’t think we deserve these houses and deserve them now.

@AmyRemeikis is spot on about the housing crisis in Tasmania. It has the fastest growing homelessness rate in the country. Voters are paying very close attention to what governments now choose to spend on and what they choose to either not fund enough or cut. Priorities.

@JeremyPoxon @Daemonised I don’t think we need to make people suffer when they’re out of work to get them to hate being out of work. Because, from what I’ve seen, being out of work itself makes you suffer plenty.

Labor promised Tasmania's Urgent Care Clinics would be open from 8am to 10pm. They're not. When will we see action?

“Super on PPL is a step forward. I’ve always said I support the idea, as long as we can pay for it. If the Government’s found a way to fit it into the budget, then great. But what about the 200,000 women across the country on carers payments - don’t they deserve super as well?

Even the Government's own members know this policy, as it stands, will hurt community pharmacies. And when these pharmacies cut staff, reduce opening hours and stop offering vital services as a result of this, it'll be the customer who misses out.

Tassie needs a guaranteed 1200 homes from the Housing Affordability Future Fund. Without a guarantee, I'm not sure how much of a difference the bill will make to my state. #politas #auspol
