Lots of debris gathering on the side of this rail bridge that goes over the Cape Fear River in Fayetteville,NC! Some worry if it’ll be able to withstand the pressure. Just a week ago, I was standing below it, looking up, thinking “no way that water gets THAT high”. I was wrong!

For clarification: The World Meteorological Organization did not name this storm after Hillary Clinton. 'Hilary' was first used as a name in 1975 & has been used every 6 years since. Also, Hurricane 'Hilary' is spelled with 1 'L'. Mrs. Clinton is spelled with 2 'L's.

Hurricane #Ian did a number on several piers in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Including, the Cherry Grove Pier which was split in half by the churned up Atlantic. It has seen damage from other storms over the decades & been rebuilt. The expectation is no different this time around.

If you are far inland, you need to pay attention to Hurricane #Laura as well. It's not only about the coast. 50/50 shot of wind speeds of tropical storm force reaching into Southern Arkansas. Prepare for power outages.

Tropical Depression Ten has formed in the Atlantic. This is forecast to become the "I" storm. If you are keeping track, that name is Imelda. Gotta watch this closely in the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola and the Bahamas.

Here's the list of names for this Hurricane season. Looks like the one I'm sure to jack up pronouncing will be the "I" storm, Isaias. It is pronounced "ees-ah-EE-ahs". For that, and obvious and more important reasons, I'm hoping we never make it to "I".
