You know why I’m gonna be a Dan Campbell fan from here on out?
He snapped at a reporter, because he was frustrated with the game, deservedly so, and immediately apologized to the reporter for talking to him like that.
That’s a man of character.
YALL, IF THE WEIGHT ROOM IS NOT A PRIORITY IN THE OFF-SEASON, NEITHER IS WINNING IN THE FALL. YOU WANT TO KNOW IF A TEAM IS GREAT? PEEP THE SQUAT RACKS. IF THEYRE EMPTY, SO IS THE TROPHY CASE.
Man, I feel like
@CoachHinesCHS
😂🤙🏼

Helmet Sticker: Every time an OL finds themselves a side of Ribs during Pass Pro that results in a body on the floor, they get one of these as a sticker.
Every 8 DL ribs collected, that OL gets a full slab of real BBQ ribs.
Y’all ppl really don’t want football to last do you?!?! Let’s put these “Coaches” in some gear and see how tough they are! Stop ruining our game by support this crap. And yes we’re all looking at you

“Quarantine Who?” Says the 16,600+ people in the US who have died from Coronavirus.
Grow the f*ck up. Stop taking advantage of these young people during a crisis.
Here’s a nice drill to help your OL from popping up in their pass set that we love to use at
@5AS1OL
.
Put a medball under their down hand. They must “roll” the ball along with them along the angle of their sets, but they must keep it inline with their shoulder.
You’ll find that…
One big name DT says he’s used to coaches yelling at him & all of a sudden the TL is flooded with Coaches using it as an excuse to constantly yell & scream. If you build proper relationships with your players, yelling shouldn’t be necessary to make a point 99% of the time.
At some point in your football career, if you want to be successful, you have to relish being PHYSICAL.
You have to look for it. Its in the very fabric of the game.
You cannot shy away from it, bc its coming regardless.
When its time to be violent, you must meet it w/a smile.
“Does this training transfer to the field?”
Should be the first question we ask ourselves as we start to build off season workouts for our OL athletes!
They were 39 Bowl Games this year.
10 years ago, there were 25.
Desmond Howard’s & Herbstreits final college seasons, there were 18 & 19, respectively.
Wanna know why kids opt out? Bc the bowls have turned into corporate money grabs/participation trophies.
Concept taken from spread run scheme applied to Flexbone.
When mike is flying out to play the triple run “ace”. Use midline footwork. Looks just like triple but hits backdoor.
Center steps backside, G combos to LB that’s shows up.
BREAKING: The National Weather Service has issued a Dangerous Air Quality Warning because of a sharp increase in the levels of Smug on the West Coast after Mike Leach and a 4-6 PAC12 QB just ripped the Defending SEC/Natl Champs a new one.
More at 11.
“GAP” READ ... you’ve probably heard of the “ZONE” READ play Well
#PennState
runs “GAP” READ plays as well. Really creative, cutting edge stuff. Fun to watch as those plays put tremendous pressure on the defense.
Alright kids, finally got a chance to put that tool to the test. In this video, just working on applying pressure to pressure, while engaging all our of important muscles along with proper elbow torque. The athlete is still working on overall strength so it’s a work in progress!
Hot take?
I’m not a fan of calling O-Lineman “hogs” or “pigs” or things like that. IMO theres a level of degradation there.
Call em dudes, athletes, w/e, just prop em up. Most of those young men started out being cast off to OL Island.
Probably just me being a curmudgeon.
Excited to officially announce that I’ve accepted the roles of Var. OL Coach, Special Teams Coor., & Asst. Head Coach at Pacifica HS!
I’m honored to be a part of
@Warhogs56
staff, & look forward to helping the Mariners reach their full potential!!

So if my D1 prospect football player doesn’t run track because Coronavirus cancelled the season, does that make him slow & scared to compete? How will these College Coaches recruit if they can’t see his 100 time??
Asking for a friend.
Just a friendly reminder, some kids are just content with putting on the pads and being part of something. They work just as hard, but will never be the “Front of the Line” guy.
Not everyone has aspirations to go D1.
Some just wanna play with their friends.
And that’s okay.
Before you say “I wish we were united now as we were on 9/12”, I have several Middle Eastern friends my age who grew up being hated for an event they had zero part in, & still deal with unfounded bigotry to this day because of it.
Patriotism rooted in hatred is not Patriotism.
Football is just a tool to teach life’s lessons. Coaches, you CANT sell your soul for W’s. We are molding the next generation of parents, leaders, & role models every day w/our actions. To do anything less than the right thing, always, hurts our societal future. Set the example!
So lemme get this straight, if my players don’t run track/wrestle in the offseason, then I’m doing a disservice to them?
What if those programs aren’t good?
What if they really love Badminton?
Are we really having them play other sports for their benefit, or ours?
I don’t want my players afraid to let ME down, I want them to be afraid of letting EACH OTHER down. I’m just a Coach. I’m not in battle every day with them. They should want to be great for each other, not me. I’m just a facilitator. They are the reasons we win.
Could use some Ts & Ps for my Dad right now, had to admit him to Emergency Room earlier as his COVID diagnosis took a turn. Currently being administered steroids and potentially antibiotics depending on his reaction. Looking like the next few days in the hospital.
Coach: “I dont let my guys wear any of that ME stuff, like leggings or armbands, we gotta look like a TEAM!”
Also Coach:*wears backwards hat, shorts, arm sleeve, WR gloves, 24x50 laminated double-sided call sheet attached to retractable key chain, polo w/name on it, giant towel*
When a kid posts a bad rep on Twitter & 8,000 40 year old men with “Follower, Father, Coach” in their bio rip him because they never learned how to deal with their own shortcomings.
Alabama OL tracks drill
Love how this works catching on the whole foot, feeling it, and setting the angle to drive out of it for their fit.
Feel is real.
You’re not REALLY training unless you’re on this level! This athlete just got drafted into the HOF from this video alone! Buy my e-book code “How to GRIND like a Raver’s Teeth!” In stores NOW for only 4 easy payments of $29.99!!
Could it be, kids only care about the Championship because ITS LITERALLY BEEN DRILLED INTO THEIR HEADS BY ADULTS & TIED TO THEIR SELF WORTH SINCE THEY WERE LITTLE.
YEAH THEY DONT LOVE BALL. BC THEYVE BEEN TOLD THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS THE RING.
Alright, eliminated some overall length, am happier w/how the outer grips fit for the player. Included this time is schematic w/all the info you should need to build your own! Make sure your angles are straight and proper before the glue dries, because it ain’t budging after.
Taco trucks should drive around the neighborhoods like Ice Cream used to back when we were young.
You know how fast I’d come running when I hear those horns??
⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
I’d like to even add one more LB into the mix, but this right here is my ideal pass rush drill setup.
Also want to have the option of bringing 1-5 and any variance in between.
Shoutouts
@Coach_Timmerman
for sharing this with me!
Troy Fautanu was a STEAL at pick 20 for the Steelers, and arguably the most versatile OL in a deep 2024 class. His ability to mix up his sets and disrupt the pass rushers rhythm jumps out on tape.
Full breakdown on Fautanu will be coming soon
