1/This will be my last thread on the current counteroffensive. In short, it failed. Contrary to some on the Z side, I don’t think it failed on principle. Some parts of it were well-thought-out and executed, but in the end, it matter how it played out. It was a disaster.

1/ 5/9 of the "NATO" brigades have been introduced into the battle. We'll go over each one as well as my evidence. I will also touch on the 4 remaining ones. Also, remember when I say Brigade... I mean at least one company of the Bde is here. Other companies could be elsewhere.

@TGjize 11/ Now, it doesn’t really matter what happens. The offensive failed, even just based on Oryx numbers (in reality they're worse), they lost ½ of the Bradleys allocated for the attack. 75% of the Leopard 2a6s allocated. Hundreds of vehicles overall. It failed.

2/Now why did it fail as it did? 1st reason was sheer scope. Ukraine’s game plan was to stretch Russian forces and then succeed by punching through with two main fists. This started in earnest with three supporting efforts. Belgorod raid, Bakhmut flanks, and the Dnieper raids.

4/Now, this would be viable had Ukraine been able to assemble 1k tanks, 3k ifvs, and thousands of other vehicles, but that was not the case. They were still able to get hundreds of tanks of IFVs and a couple of thousand other vehicles but that is not enough for such a scale.

Looking at the buildup near Belgorod and Bryansk regions, the AFU are preparing not only for defense. Kyiv has already stated that the incident was staged by partisans. In the future we should expect attacks in both the Kursk and Belgorod regions.

According to wargonzo (who is nearby) Russian and LDNR forces have taken what remains of the Belokamensk Refractory Plant (which has been out of operation and torn apart since 2009). About a 1km advance from the KNAUF plant. 48.6774, 38.0953

Romanov who was the first to claim that Ukraine captured Staromaiorske now says it's under the full control of the Russian forces. Apparently, Ukrainian MRAPs strolled in, got blown up, and then Russian forces walked back in.

World class cope. Less armored losses than RDK’s recent “raid into Bilhorod” (which hot destroyed). 200km^2 cleared, and a decent portion through capturing a city pre-war size bigger than Ugledar. All in less than a week.

Kharkiv update: While Ukrainian defenses have been improving in the last several days, Russia is barely able to make any progress and is now focusing its efforts on seizing Vovchansk as its reserves run low, endangering its more ambitious goals. 1/8

@RWApodcast Ukraine has mobilized at least 6% of its male population and approx 20% of it 25-60 eligible population. Russia has mobilized .4% of its male population and approx 1.1% (different parameters in Ru) of its eligible population. The situations are completely incomparable.…

The reason why Ukraine has been so obsessed with Crimea is because "Ruskiy mir" has worked there even through the massive sanctions. Average wages are up by a decent margin. Infrastructure has been developed and new projects have been launched.

3/ They literally just get pounded by artillery and have to retreat. The land is flat. Ukraine needs many APCs and a HUGE numerical superiority to see success here, and the more I stare at it, the less I see it happening.

There was a patriot kill in the 9 minute SSO comp that dropped yesterday and we didn't even notice due to all the other footage. If you haven't watched it, the footage is absolutely wild.

The Bakhmut offensive which was "brutally slow" captured settlements with a census population (Ukraine's last census was in 2001) totaling a bit over 100k. (Soledar+Bakhmut alone is around 95k). The 8 settlements that Ukraine took have a census population of 2k total.

For the pro-Ru types predicting this, please answer this, where will they gather forces for this? By this I mean, what geographic location would they use as a final jumping off point?

Current m777 Stats: 95 destroyed/damaged/captured as per visual evidence 6 misses with lancets. Ru has shown visual evidence of 101/152 of the total m777s. I believe more were destroyed in hangars (at least 2 were), so Ukraine likely has 20-25 they can deploy on whole front.

5/ The main one is: There truly is no "reserve" army. At best, there are a few brigades that can be used for offensive action and rotation. Ukraine is throwing in what they got. There has already been a ton of rotation and many units are absolutely mauled.

Some not-so-good news is coming out of the southern Donetsk sector. However, I would like to remind you that even if Ru lost Staromaiorske, this is what the map is looking like wrt fortifications. This comes after 53 days of non-stop attacks.

2/ But in a more non-joking manner, Ukraine has ALREADY sent many reserve brigades here (46th, 60th, 61st, and 63rd) and doesn't really have that much more to spare. They have tried making big pushing in many sectors (Ingulets, direction of Krivoy Rog, down to Stanislav)

Oryx undercounted western artillery system losses at a scale of almost 2 to 1. If you want to self-audit, I implore you to look at both sources and tell me if Oryx is or isn't undercounting and if the the 117 missing pieces are all misses/bad counts.
