She walked for miles to reach this VeT hospital in Srinagar. Her lamb has fever and isn’t going away. Found her waiting in a queue hoping the doctors would be able to help. People who love animals have very few places to go seeking medical help in this crisis.
This man from Jharkhand has been earning his living in Kashmir for last 16 years. Says he has never faced trouble and in tough times locals only have come to help him.
Kathua case should serve as an eye opener to those who shamelessly tried to defend the rapists and even used the tri-colour to peddle their ugly agendas.
Rahul Bhatt’s killing is a murder. And clearly he was targeted and killed because of who he was. Nothing can ever justify a murder. With every innocent death Kashmir dies with it. Heart goes out with the families of victims.
Kashmiri Pandits must return and live in Kashmir as any other Kashmiri does.There is no denying that it belongs to them as much as it belongs to anyone else.Endless politics on this should just end.
My mother has leukaemia,I am grappling to find ways of making her next chemotherapy possible. Bigger/ govt hospitals are a den of infections for such people, smaller ones don’t have enough facilities. My heart goes out for millions of people like us today.
A tourist paying tribute to the Kashmiri guide Rouf Ahamed who lost his life while saving tourists when their boat capsized in the river lidder of pahalgam. People like Rouf are Kashmir and Kashmir is them.

This CRPF jawan gave his own food to a crawling physically challenged man. Journalist

This year so far 28 civilians have been killed in Kashmir.21 from local Muslim community, 5 from local hindu
& Sikh communities and 2 non local residents.These lands have been seeing endless pain for long. Hope there is an end someday. (Police figures)
Is it just me or the ease with which the cops are standing right behind is so so strange. In which other part will an entire battalion of cops just stand like that and watch when a gun wielding man is aiming at people
Got trolled for putting Pooja’s comments on Kashmiri people here, but I ain’t giving up. Listen in to Shreya from Mumbai. Hello hatemongers your special attention please.
A lot of people may not know this. Danish started off as a Tv reporter like us, after college.He however decided to go behind the screen(very rare). Self taught himself photo skills and went on to scale new heights. You will always be remembered through ur work my friend.
Dear govt there is no evidence that Corona can be transmitted through 4G right? Restore it in J&K. I met a lot of people even today who think they could have done a lot of their work at home if proper internet was available.
From being abandoned just after being born to finding new parents in a distant land. What a wonderful story.

@sakshijoshii
you two are such an inspiration. Here is wishing you two a great parenthood.

Did u know who paid for the first PeT scan machine for thousands of cancer patients in Kashmir? 20 Indian parliamentarians from states like Kerala, Tripura, TN, Bengal even Chhattisgarh & Jharkhand. Amazing not a single rupee given by the state’s own MP’s.

Hello Srinagar, let us go and buy from Abdul Rehman. I am sure the street food he sells would taste far better than any branded chips or fries. Let us give him reasons to go home smiling.
Good of

to give Rs one lakh to Abdul Rehman, 90 till the time money is retrieved from burglars who looted Rs 1 lakh from Channa seller's home. Rehman sells snacks at Bohrikadal and lives alone. He had kept hard earned money for his last rites.
It is so heart breaking to see innocent civilians getting consumed to this bloody conflict.Local or non-local.The 2 were just trying to earn their meagre livings.Heartfelt Sympathies with their families.This year itself 30 have been killed in Kashmir,October alone took away 10.
People of my generation in Kashmir would understand what this is and its connect with our childhood and grand parents. Back then when winters would be harsh and electricity was nowhere to be seen grand parents would have this treat hiding under their pherans (gowns) for us.
Local efforts saw an innovative way of dealing with the crisis.Splitters for ventilator machine successfully made in Srinagar through 3D printing,tested today at SKIMS.This essentially means they can cater to 4 patients on one.Still being tested.Great work guys
@MantashaBRashid
Dear trolls you can keep all your religious equations to yourselves, for me Kathua case has been a matter of abduction, gang rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl who probably woundnt have gotten justice if there was no media and public outcry.
Going to mosques or any such religious gatherings even at this time is simply Jahalat. A transmission because of it should be called Jahalat transmission.
Parents of a militant at the encounter site in Srinagar today. They were brought to ask their boys to surrender, who refused. All three local boys died in the encounter with forces later. Kashmir and it’s endless pain. (Pic: Basit Zargar)
Just by seeing the acts of these KarniSena /Rajput chaps, respect for Muslims as citizens should atomatically grow in this country. Look at how they behaved through tripletalaq, Haj subsidy,cow vigilante onslaught & love Jehad allegations etc. More power to sanity.

In the wake of the Corona scare the least that the authorities in J&K can do is allow 4G internet. Atleast let people have access to information with any restrictions.
A female health worker is on the way to Jumagund- hard to reach area of block trehgam ( line of control) along with her child for vaccination in this remote village.

Criminalising journalism won’t help anything. No democracy can ever flourish if the messengers are targeted. FIR’s against journalists like this is very sad. Stand in solidarity with my friends in the media.
We have lost a colleague with to CoVid19. Just in her twenties Huma Khan fought hard, was on ventilator support but couldn’t make it.May her soul rest in peace.Please don’t take this virus lightly, no scope for carelessness. 🙏
