The EU spending a week arguing over whether it’s ‘too far’ to request a humanitarian pause/ceasefire.
And then this.
A couple of hours ago, all internet and cell phone communications were suddenly cut in Gaza. No one can be reached. This coincided with what some people (w/ sat phones) are saying is some of the heaviest bombardment yet. The killing and destruction will now happen in the dark.

What can we the people do Shona? I feel so helpless 😩😩😩 lighting a candle and saying prayers seems so redundant. It’s just horrific

I don’t know anymore Shona. The world is sleep walking into a war the likes of which we haven’t seen since the 1940s. EU was embarrassing this week. How hard is it to ask for a ceasefire? What wording do you need?

We are watching a battle unfold. The battle is for the lives of the hostages.
Had the hostages been returned, this battle might have been avoided.
So far, it has not. Hamas have critical choices to make. Are they *really* certain about paradise?
