Responded to reports of a violent male who had barricaded himself into a flat. Male was throwing knives at the window at officers & making threats. He then opened a window to throw more knives & promptly tasered by PC Cawte & myself. One under arrest, no injuries to officers.

Updated that 1 of my staff were assaulted yesterday while arresting a male, the officer was kneed to the face. I’ve seen the injury photos & there was blood everywhere & A&E confirmed the officer as having cracked cartilage in his nose .Like a trooper he is back in work today. 😡

Responded to reports of a robbery at a supermarket last night involving threats made to staff with a large knife by a male. Unluckily for him PC Cawte & myself were nearby. Suspect located, challenged with taser & arrested. No injuries. #SaferCommunities #KnifeCrime #Teamwork

Carrying out some early morning enquiries when I heard the familiar voice of a wanted male in the street having a conversation with a female. The male ran into a house when he saw us but didn’t get the door shut quick enough. One under arrest on suspicion of burglary.👍🏻
