And another tip!
When you have a Google Drive link, open the source code and search for: "\x2210" and "\x2211" and find the userID.
Paste it in the Google Photos or Maps URL and find out more about your target.
Here an old target of me and
@MwOsint
π:
Sitting on a dump with mail addresses? Want to find out what id's are connected? Need to view their Google Albums, but don't know the userID? Want to try and locate their YouTube account? Are you an

Just be

Years in the making, but finally it's online. A lengthy (!) article about chronolocation. An extensive guide from the basics, to how to measure shadows! This guide is far from complete, and will be update when I have time to write more.

It is time to release the 2020 OSINT Quiz!
This time there won't be anything way too difficult. So if you are just starting out in this field of expertise, or you have colleagues that could use some practice, make sure to send them this info π
I have a small surprise! Now I finally have some more time, I was reminded today that I really, REALLY should've shared some new tips and tricks when it comes to Google id's...
So here it is, part II of my journey into the abyss called Google accounts!
After the 1st
#OSINT
quiz from 2017, there is finally a new one! Want to answer questions, maybe learn something along the way, and have fun while doing that?
Send an email to osintquiz
@gmail
.com, with the SUBJECT "start"
brought to you by me, with help from the

crew!
Hello Monday! Hello Week in
#OSINT
!
This time no real shoutouts, since today I am sharing MY(!) personal favourites when it comes to:
- websites
- domains
- web sites
- IP addresses
- Google analytics
1/5: For years
#OSINT
peeps have looked at Google Earth Pro, and investigated with it. And for the same amount of time, people have used the slider bar to select specific dates, or used the date shown on the bottom of the screen (me included). But this is not the capture date! π
Instagram now forced people to log in after you have been browsing a couple of images. But of course there is a way around. But how do you get around this if you don't want to use a sock puppet? A little thread π for the
#osintcurious
people!
Extra Mastodon
#OSINT
tip for today!
Don't forget to check the JSON or RSS output, because you might never know what is hidden in there! Simply adding .json or .rss to some URLs is enough.
#StayOSINTCurious
It is time for me to take some time off and enjoy the holidays! But in case you need a fix, are feeling lonely or just want to Netflix a bit, here my
#OSINT
related movie tips!
Instagram changed the source code. To browse anonymously, a new uBlock filter is:
instagram_com##._Yhr4.RnEpo
instagram_com#
#body
:style(overflow:visible !important;)
Note: Change the underscore between "instagram"and "com" to a period before applying it.

Good morning
#OSINT
peeps!
I've been extremely busy for some time now, and there will be NO Week in
#OSINT
today or next Monday!
I do have a personal episode though, to celebrate the 5 year anniversary, and to thank all of you for your support.
December 21 last year I created an
#OSINT
challenge, based on
#geolocation
, social media, open sources and some extra puzzles. Only one person solved all stages so far! Feel up to the challenge? Just email the subject "start" to forensicquiz2017
@gmail
.com Good luck!
I've been way too busy again, so today there's no Week in
#OSINT
, but something slightly different.
I chose to share some of my favourite podcasts in the world of cybersecurity and OSINT.
If you are investigating shady downloads on Google Drive, keep in mind that Google provides APIs for everything.
Visit after creating a 'project' and simply query the file ID π
#OSINT
Don't use v3 since that returns hardly any information nowadays π
Just updated the blog and added another technique to grab user information from a Google Drive. No clue how I missed this, but I've been busy so I'm excused π
Thanks to
@djnemec
that gave this awesome tip! It's easy, requires no skills and can be done anonymously!

Finly been busy playing around more with
@obsdmd
by loading the 60 Sherlock Holmes stories in it, and scripted the tagging of more than 320 people, locations, newspapers, etc. I love how you can easily create graphs with it, the mardown format, and all the awesome plugins!
ποΈπ Day 2 of the

Ever needed to verify the direction of a shadow at a particular time? Want a tool that can draw over existing satellite imagery? Then check out this interactive shadow calculation tool:
You want to play with some hi-res aerial imagery? Have a need to find extra material for a research? Want to try and identify what the small blurred item was in that back yard? Or just want to browse in it because it's fun?
Then read my new postπ
Good morning! Time for Week in
#OSINT
!
This week some tools and sites I had laying around for some time already, but never had the time to look at.
H/T to:
@tenacioustek
@thewhiteh4t
@redhuntlabs
and a few others I didn't track down. Kudos nonetheless!
