4 years ago today was the last time I put up with this. I’d taken a year of being told who I could hang out with, having my prescription medication hidden and having my phone monitored. In walking out I lost 90% of my belongings but I gained back my freedom. Always choose you ❤️

My abuser admitted in court to battering me, taking my phone so I couldn’t call for help and locking me in his house all night but got found not guilty by a jury of other assaults beforehand that definitely happened. It is possible to be found not guilty but still be guilty.

Got diagnosed with depression at xmas so I decided to give up drinking alcohol (with the exception of when I go out which is basically never) and now my less depressed self is 2 1/2 stone lighter and I fit back into my old clothes again 😁

December - now. I felt it was time to stop self medicating past trauma and try to heal and look after myself. I stopped drinking, got into a routine and started getting outside a bit more. You will never move forward whilst you’re stood still and all that.

7 years ago I was sat in a police cell. My MH was a mess, I’d hit rock bottom and tried to end it all rather dramatically because I couldn’t accept that I needed help. It took a lot of time and group therapy but the days became brighter again. It’s never too late to reach out ❤️
