What the Elizabeth Line would look like across the North of England, connecting Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds or Sheffield
Imagine the potential we could untap if the Government invested just a fraction of what London gets

It's not a 'problem', it's a good thing.
In poorer countries people depend on public transport & bikes. When they get richer they want cars because they bring freedom.
Public transport will *never* be good enough for a free people to move around on.
Council wanted to create a nicer space with paths, trees, benches and even a book library.
Some woman didn't like this so parked he cars on the grass to block it and now it won't happen.
Managing to make everyone else's lives a bit more miserable.
Use your head. Wear a helmet every time you cycle. 🧠
Together with our partner
@lazersport
, we are raising awareness of the importance of wearing a helmet with a goal to increase helmet use.

Spoons regularly clean their tap lines, give you a matching glass and the food comes quickly. All for 1/2 the price of a normal pub. What's not to love
JD Wetherspoon – few companies in Britain are so successful, yet so divisive.
What's its secret? How come 21.4 million visited a Spoons over the last 6 months? But why have people campaigned to stop one opening in their town?
I spent 24 hours in one to find out...🍺🧵
I regret to inform everyone that Old El Paso made salsa for people in the UK and Australia and they went 'mild is too spicy' so they needed a level called "extra mild" to satiate their delicate palates
Step 1: Fly on plane to Manchester
Step 2: Close all roads in Manchester city centre for conference
Step 3: Leak cancellation of Manchester HS2 leg
Step 4: Fly back to London
Step 5: Never think about Manchester again
Kerbs are the most underrated part of our active travel revolution
When used well, they give an incredible amount of priority to walkers and cyclists at every junction
The end of a monster?
HMRC just closed a massive loophole causing pollution and danger on our streets
From 1st July 2024 tax for pickup trucks will increase from £60 to £291 per month for 20% rate tax payers and up from £120 to £582 for 40% rate tax payers as a company car
Train etiquette is a hill I will die on
No you cannot get on the train before others have disembarked
No you cannot listen to tiktoks out loud in the quiet carriage
My daily commute involves a small stretch next to the motorway with just a painted line for protection!
This is a vital link for many people, links segregated infrastructure in Salford to Manchester, yet there are no plans to add protection
Apparently I can't ride a cargo bike, because I need a car to tow a caravan with my 82 year old in laws, one with advanced Parkinson's and one with a wheel chair
One of these vehicles has a battery 120 times less efficient than the other - yet both are used to take one person and their belongings 5km to work every day.
Which do you think people believe will save the planet?
I have a theory about painted cycle lanes
This one specific lane with hatching works like no other painted cycle lane I've seen
The hatchings seem to trigger something in drivers to stay away from the cycle lane
So in the first video apparently I was misbehaving by not stopping and allowing drivers a chance to see me waiting to cross
What excuses will they come up with now?
@MrJamesMay
Hi James - we're so sorry to have ruined your life (again) ☹️
To clarify, we're still making saloon and estate cars. This is purely a sales decision in the UK market, where demand for SUVs is especially strong.
Self checkout is a poster child for how automation as a cost cutting measure can backfire. Retailers are rolling it back everywhere.
Dollar General is eliminating it. Walmart plans to charge a subscription and Target will limit it to ten items or less
