@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
Jolyne herself is in jail for a crime she didn't commit. a whole key point in Stone Ocean is that the prison system is corrupt. we don't know why the trans man is in prison, it doesn't really matter. the real reason he's there is simply the system is corrupt
@AngleSplash
@waydropsbangers
- character is sick
- sometimes when the character is just meant to be cute, they have blush
- speaking from artist who usually gives all my characters blush, in that case it's to give them a little extra colour in their face
- character is tired/exhausted
- drunk
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
what the fuck are you talking about. Jolyne is confused about why there's a man in the women's prison. she asks the doctor "this is a female prison, right?", her response to learning the guy is trans isn't confusion about his surgery, it's more in line of "oh that's cool"
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
it doesn't matter because he's not a main character. he only shows up in this 1 scene in the manga, and is in the background of the scene in the anime. the system is corrupt, because we're literally shown how the system is corrupt MULITPLE TIMES throughout Stone Ocean
@shotanidiluc
- Travelers in Kimono from Ayaka
- Manga outfits for Kaeya, Amber, & Diluc
- Jean without her cape
- Shogun boss fight as alt skin
- Delusion Childe AND Abyss Childe as alt skins
other characters too but those are the ones i can think of
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
i think you're just being obtuse at this point. that or you clearly don't know what subtext is. or both actually, i think you're just fucking stupid.
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
no that's you. do you even read or watch Jojo??? you know that Stone Ocean has 2 main characters who can be read as trans or non-binary right? FF is canonically not a woman, and is referred to with she/they pronouns
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
i do actually, i just don't completely ignore the existence of lgbt+ people and pretend that there's 0 possibility of a character being trans. did you know that several of the musicians jojo characters are inspired by are "alphabet people"
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
i AM a woman dumbass. i almost ONLY interact with women.
do you know what SUBTEXT is?????? it's subtext for a fucking reason. the backstory can be read as having gay subtext, especially to gay people, but can ALSO be read as being straight, platonic, best friends
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
that is not what i said. i, unlike you, just don't ignore the possibility of a character being lgbt. i usually don't actually go in thinking "this character is either lgbt or straight", i go in thinking "this is a character"
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
it's not actually, it's called "looking at the way this character interacts with others, design elements, and if this backstory has subtext or not"
@ultralovesymbol
"can you handle that thought without sexualizing it?" yes. yes i can, because i don't think about little girls taking showers on a daily basis and i don't view anyone just being naked or taking showers as sexual??? bro is making up bullshit to tell on themselves
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
the only person who uses exclusively she/her pronouns for FF is Pucci, who is a priest and the villain of the part. Anasui is depicted as being a man in the anime, but in the manga he originally shows up with a very feminine appearance.
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
i only decide if i personally think a character is lgbt after seeing how they interact with other characters, looking at subtext, or if it's just very fucking obvious
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
when it's opposite genders, they're immediately identified as a couple, but when it's the same genders, people will claim that they're "just close friends"
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
for an example, having a character who previously had a person of the same gender (who wasn't related to them) that they were deeply connected to, they used to live with, shared a bed with, but they lost at some point previously
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
i'm leaving that out for a reason, but it's not why you think.
see, i was talking about if a backstory has gay SUBTEXT. this backstory when applied to 2 women, 100% has gay subtext, without it being 100% obvious to people like you, who would say that they're just good friends
@WokeVTuberLs
@Yeenie_Mcbeenie
more then you would think. the backstory example i gave can literally be used to apply to straight characters as well, but with opposite genders instead of the same.
@meirisuuu
Ningguang really deciding she wants to go on a vacation to Mondstadt, the drinking nation, and taking Beidou to a tavern because she knows Beidou likes to drink, and there's still people who say they hate each other, i-
@kristopherissy
THEY PUT IT UNDER LGBTQ????? ah yes, i love my probably not actually a documentary about a real life serial killer, much more then any sapphic show/movie that's for sapphics about sapphics /sar
@_burgyy
the 4 urges to (say):
- Ningguang does it for her
- idk but i need a visual presentation
- i do it for her
- and actually explain how i think Beidou undresses
are all very strong
@meirisuuu
Ningguang and Beidou 18 - 24??????? also why is the cut off for in their 20s at 24??? they really cut off the possible age at "one year from fully developed brain"
@thomapics
cleaning supplies
how send letter to mother in mondstadt with sakoku decree in place
how to find my dad
cute doggos
cat sweaters how to
knitting supplies where to buy
@Dreaming__x3
@Zeniiet
from my understanding, it's kinda like a second valentine's day. usually in countries where it's celebrated, on valentine's day, women & girls give gifts of affection to people they like, and white day is the opposite where men & boys give gifts instead
@goneyouu
i still can't get over them putting Aloy in A tier when she literally has 0 lore and story in genshin, while putting Ei, Lisa, Beidou & Ningguang in B & D tiers
@thisname5ucks
@TalIyHaII
he basically makes videos that are like "these people are ruining this fandom" and "these people" are just minorities who are either trying to just vibe & have fun or calling out problematic shit
@ShadowKage13
@velvesque
so in the west, in the 80s wearing an earring like this was used to signify you were gay, and in China (which Liyue is based on) wearing this type of earring is to related to good luck :)
@cherrryonice
@0409vil
also the "she flirts with the traveler so she obviously likes men too" is a dumbass argument, because the traveler can be either Aether OR Lumine, so is she still flirting with the traveler when it's Lumine op?
this might be surprising, but bi women don't WANT to be called lesbians when we're dating women. we ALSO don't like or want to be called straight when dating men, maybe you should actually LISTEN to bisexuals instead of bitching about why "lesbian relationship not sapphic"
@meirisuuu
i swear people confusing being a hard worker who likes to work (Ningguang) with being overworked, when it's literally a thing that Ningguang LIKES her work and clearly has a lot of free time 😭
@lesbianimp4ct
also to the qrts: as a bisexual, please stop trying to bring bis up when the topic is lesbiphobia, yes, there is def a biphobia problem too, but when the topic is specifically about lesbiphobia, you don't need to bring up "oh but if you say this character bi, people get mad"
@KnifeWifesWife
@cloakeddesire
because it's putting all the blame of the issues brought up solely onto lesbians, but sapphics/wlw aren't *only* made up of lesbians, bi women are included too. it's unfair to put all the blame on lesbians when bi women can be apart of the issues
@LycanHeiress
i think it comes from people literally just not wanting to learn anything about her. they see that she's rich and just assume that she looks down on poor ppl because she's rich and the way she talks
@adviceburner
to add onto this, if you're in MIDDLE SCHOOL, don't date a high school student. maybe if you're in grade 8 and they're in grade 9, but if you are 12, i beg you, do not date someone who is 15 and over
@pyresque
i really hope they bring Sara back like at all at this point. she's one of my favourite characters but we've seen so little of her, i can't even remember if we saw her after the archon quest finishes. i've started wondering if Signora actually killed her or something
@kijaeha__
the comment saying "this is based off the movies, not actual history" as if that makes this suddenly ok??? this is so fucking disrespectful and disgusting
@clowcountry
i saw someone else already mention him, but Johnny Joestar the protag of part 7 of JJBA, he's in a wheelchair. but also from Jojo, there's Joseph Joestar who's an amputee & has a prosthetic hand, and Jean Pierre Polnareff who is an amputee and in a wheelchair by part 5
@ultralovedeluxe
they act like it was explicitly shown and like being horny is Jolyne's only personality trait, but all it is is Jolyne being embarrassed the next morning that she got caught, then her personality much MUCH more then just "horny"
@SimplyAllegra
Beidou is like those straight men on dating apps that post pictures of them holding their catches, but the difference is, with Beidou it's actually attractive
@bumplebeee
however, i don't think nsfw accounts as a whole should be private and/or obliterated. mainly nsfw artists accounts. artists online already have trouble gaining a following, and nsfw artists who take commissions would have an even harder time gaining a following
@kijaeha__
it's the fact that she looks better with this skintone, because of the way that colour theory and character design works. whites in her clothes look better. but in her official design, with her pale skin, the whites and her skin start to blend
@Dandeli0ness
i'd love to know what about Jolyne makes her a "whore". is it because she mentioned masturbation 1 (one) time? if any of the other Jojos did, i doubt anyone would slut shame them. is it because she has a boyfriend at the beginning of the part? is it because she has a love
stop telling bi people that they're "actually pan" because they don't fit *your* definition of bi, but at the same time, don't go telling pan & other mspec people that they should identify as bi instead and/or that they're automatically biphobic
@thetasteofrice
@goneyouu
the thing is is that people have a bias against both wikipedia and fandom wikis. wikipedia because it was told "bad source don't use it" in schools, and fandom wikis because i guess the same thing but also because it's made by fans, so people are like "it's not accurate"
@ShiroDoesGames
@animuswonder
for clarification, are you implying that it's possible that the characters are actually all meant to be darker but in the CN version of the game, they're being released with pale skin due to censorship? /gen
stop saying "oppressions olympics" whenever bis talk about biphobia we face. literally none of us when talking about biphobia have say "omg i'm so oppressed", it's always been ways we've been discriminated against. y'all are the ones making it about oppression
@bumplebeee
i agree with the part for nsfw artists to stop drawing nsfw of childrens media and of characters who are minors, 100% that should not be happening, because when it's childrens' media, minors WILL be exposed to it,
@windflowerlia
i think Bennett and Lisa are both cursed and has a result from their curses, their eyes are green. i think it's canon that Lisa *was* cursed or something, and the amount of times i've seen a cursed person have green eyes is interestingly a lot
@SertifiedSlav
@queenluciifer
@AnimalJimmies
honestly, i can't give a solid answer, but a possible reason is misinformation of what being bisexual is (i do not mean this to say "pan people are only pan because they're misinformed", but moreso that the label possibly came from misinformation, tho i don't know for sure)
@AnticViktor
@braskov2
@nyekkoman
@ThatSkyC
@St4rryL3n
well there are a few reasons for why they "don't want it to be seen", 1) is avoiding the toxic fans who could come and harass them, and 2) sometimes some people just wanna be respectful of the fans who might just not wanna see something negative about something they like
@morimitsuboo
that is so true, as a bi female audience member, i already have most of my fill with the female characters give us the lonely single dilf mihoyo, don't be shy 😌
@writtenbyirene
yeah the idea of her being hot was basically, people who never actually met her but heard about her were like "there's no way this woman is actually smart, she must be/have been extremely fucking hot and seduced her way around instead", and then that myth just spread
@adviceburner
granted, i don't really think a 12 year old should be dating a 14 year old either (or really at all, but 12 and 13 aren't that bad), but please, if someone who is 15+ wants to date you, please don't. after one of my exes & me broke up, he dated a 12 year old
@ThatOneEmoSoul
@thisname5ucks
@TalIyHaII
you sure? cause i literally remember him saying that corrective r4pe fics that were made to target lesbians were fine and weren't lesbiphobic
@faintlamps
i find it so weird and gross that they clearly put lots of effort into researching other cultures (as shown in Mondstadt and Inazuma), they put in their own culture (in Liyue), but now suddenly they just decide "we don't need to actually do research"
@gnshngirls
this is why i always give a disclaimer if i try to explain anything about honkai, since i just started playing and i'm still trying to understand
@taeyeonsseulgi
@Joe_Sorci
@dinosprout_
@jhorliearts
can i also cut in as well to say that Aether fans are so fucking weird about Lumine fans just simply wanting more official art with Lumine? like, they literally show up everywhere just to say Lumine bad and act like it would physically harm them for Lumine to have more art
@ChaoticgoonB
correct me if i'm wrong, but also, aren't one of the stripes (between the black and brown stripes) also supposed to represent the queer people who have been lost to or have aids?
cause i'm pretty sure one is for poc, especially black & brown queer people and the other is for AIDs
@venusDNI
god i wanna rebuttal their rebuttals 😭 i'll just give ones for 2 of them
"Yae Miko is lesbian coded" "no it's your headcanon"
do you know what lesbian *coded* means???? 😭😭
"Ei has known Miko since she was a kid" no??? i don't even know the full story for Miko+
@bktdarling
@ultralovedeluxe
they cry about historical accuracy, meanwhile, can confirm as a history nerd, black people existed in those places in those times. there weren't many but they were there
@Sixigfrog
well for one they just want sexualized content and it's weird that they want it when the characters are supposed to be teens, but also a lot of adults kinda glamorize teens (YA novels, tv shows, etc)
@EimikoPosts
Lumine is like, hot as both traveler and Abyss twin, but Aether feels like he only works as the traveler, but as the abyss twin is just funny
@Centaurscore
i'm someone who can't speak or understand chinese and only english, but to my understanding, haven't they translated to english to be more harsh before? like i've heard Ningguang's lines about Beidou were made more harsh. cause that's so weird to do that, what is the reason
because there's a pqrt uh, i'm just gonna add that me saying that literally every fandom has a biphobia problem doesn't mean that i think that there aren't problems with homophobia, racism, transphobia, etc, i'm just specifically pointing out the biphobia
insisting that characters who are canonically bi are "technically" pan because YOU think that "pan fits better" as well as taking the canon bi characters who aren't super flirty/sexual and saying they're pan instead, while leaving canon bi characters who are flirty
@Sixigfrog
and it's to the point that adults have completely forgotten what actual real life teenagers are like and their brains have been completely rotted with the idea of teens as portrayed in media, and when they're portrayed differently (and more accurately) they get upset
@Dandeli0ness
interest? so do Jonathan & Joseph. is it because she says she's jealous of snails being able to fuck whoever? literally all Jojos make a little weird comment during one of their fights. or is it because she's a female main character and thus actually gets to have a full story
@servallandau
they might as well just not want any lore at all. like if you're gonna complain because it's in the artifact sets & books then ALSO because it's in dialog, maybe you just shouldn't care about the lore in the first place?
@LjLavender123
@0409vil
cause girl who bullies people in any sort of way (weather it serious or playful) is obviously a tsundere, there's no other type of character she could possibly be /sar
monosexual is literally the same type of term as "allosexual" & "cisgender", which guess what, those terms lump gay people with their oppressors too.
it only gets used by bi and other mspec people to describe the differences between us and people who aren't mspec, that's it
@goneyouu
i think people also need to realize that queer coding isn't always meant to be a bad thing. like, i think people have the idea that queer coding is bad because it's been used when making villain characters
@UnncommonnSense
@Nyxsio
@rxmnaant
it is about him tho, it's his coming out. regardless, the "no grandkids for you" is most likely a joke, and not that serious
@atsumooz
@EmanatingAuras
oh that actually has an explanation. the Atsuko in Liyue is the real one, and the one who you encounter in Inazuma (before doing Ei's second story quest) is actually a Bake-Danuki in disguise as her. after Ei's second story quest however, Atsuko returns home
@faintlamps
like, i can personally point out several details they added into Mondstadt, Liyue is their passion, and Inazuma does have lots of clearly researched aspects. i refuse to believe they simply "forgot" to research the cultures Sumeru is based on
@0hdana
@MishirukuJunko
@dailygeotwt
she's the protag of all Hoyoverse's other games (FlyMe2theMoon, Zombiegal Kawaii, Houkai Gakuen 2/Gun GirlZ, & Honkai Impact 3rd) excluding Genshin and Tears of Themis. she does seemingly appear in genshin tho as the Unknown God from the beginning cutscene
Reminder that Jolyne Cujoh is incredibly intelligent! She was set to attend college before the start of the series, does her homework while in prison and is able to easily use mathematical equations while in the heat of dangerous life-or-death situations.
@cl0wndoll
yes, tho i was always more interested in like, who was it? his sister? and the books that focused on the group of 5 girls, and his sister appeared every so often (i'm canadian btw)
