My dad was murdered by the IRA, shot in the head as he knelt. He was just an ordinary working man. Does his murder not deserve the same level of scrutiny as that of Pat Finucane? Where is his inquiry? In truth, his death is of no significance to the great and good. @alliancepa

The IRA murdered my father in South Down. He was forced to his knees and the gun put to the top of his head and fired twice at point blank range, he was a Protestant. My father wasn't afforded that basic right, a right to life. She can spin her nonsense but society knows the truth

My father was made to "kneel" sadly not in prayer, but by an unhinged Provo gunman who then fired two shots into the top of his head. He was just an ordinary Protestant man of 51 summers and a decent human being who didn't deserve to die in this callous and depraved manner.

Very few people who were captured by the PIRA survived. Most were tortured before being mercilessly murdered. They were often found dumped on a border road with their bodies attached to a hidden bomb. No second chances. Let's see a programme about Irelands most vicious assassins.

Massive crowds in Rathfriland and record attendances all over N Ireland for the 12th celebrations. What we have with our cultural celebrations must be promoted, maintained and celebrated at all costs. The future certainly is bright for the Orange Institution and our band community.

SF had their little conference and now we're enduring all the platitudes and glossy rhetoric about the merits of the unity fantasy. When these romantic delusions clash with the financial benefits of being in the 5th largest economy, there will only be one winner, keep dreaming 🇬🇧

There's no way the PR machine in SF HQ can put their spin on this depravity. In the space of an hour, 50 yrs ago, the Provos murdered 9 innocent people and injured 130 others in what was known as 'Bloody Friday' Ruthless gangsters who had the audacity to call themselves an army.

So hard to believe it's 35 years since provo thugs murdered two innocent army corporals. This depraved act was played out live on our television screens. It had a profound and traumatising impact upon everyone who viewed it.We must never forget the bravery of our security forces.

Our Queen always instilled pride, patriotism and unity in her people. As her subjects we loved her dearly and her faith was an example to us all. For Unionists in Northern Ireland the monarchy symbolises why we will never give up our British identity. God Save The King.

As a victim of PIRA terror, I absolutely despaired when I heard of the Lambeth talks. Who do these people think they are? Surely it makes sense to listen to the innocent and those who have been hurt the most. Our concerns and expectations on legacy matters must be addressed.

Wow, what a night in Banbridge at the Centennial and charity parade. Thousands of spectators and Orangemen, money collected for charity, mass bands of all genres including almost 120 in the accordion section with the traditional playing of cultural tunes under the bridge. 😃🇬🇧👍

A wee reminder to people that the Provos did actually exist. One could be forgiven for thinking it was only the security forces who were the key aggressors in the 'Troubles'. Revisionism in abundance.Let us never forget that over 1700 depraved murders were perpetrated by the PIRA

My daughters never got the chance to see or know their grandad due to him being cut down in our yard by the deranged actions of a Provo 'volunteer'. The PIRA were just sectarian thugs who masqueraded as an 'army'. The terminology "patriot dead" really is revisionism at its worst.

The RUC were an impeccable police service who gave their all to preserve life and protect society from violent insurgents. If terrorism had not existed normal policing would have prevailed and lives would not have been lost.Let's not engage in sullying the good name of the brave.

If the British government are financially culpable for the actions of the Para soldiers in Ballymurphy then Sinn Fein should be equally culpable for the thuggery of the Provos over 30 yrs. I wonder what price Sinn Fein would put on the life of a Protestant shot dead by the PIRA.

The most hypocritical aspect of this collusion narrative is listening to the lamenting of former Provos. The PIRA was a ruthless terror machine, consisting of merciless killers and sectarian fanatics, who committed over 60% of murders. Take ownership of your own depravity first.

It was a privilege yesterday evening speaking to the Orange Society at Queens University, with Kenny Donaldson and the Rev Mervyn Gibson. These young people are fantastic ambassadors for our culture and a real credit to the University.

On a very emotional visit to the beleaguered border town of Castlederg to hear harrowing accounts from people who experienced the brutality of the PIRA. So many innocent people here were murdered. This community demonstrated bravery and resilience in abundance, unlike the Provos.
