New paradigm sure, but competition? This is like saying Amazon has competition- though it's technically correct, Amazon makes their completion irrelevant. Tesla will continue to do the same
Yann is misguided about the talented team at Neuralink. He's also wrong about the long-term potential of the company.
Neuralink is building their devices to be safe and available for everyone. The probes are smaller than all prior devices, so impact to the brain is minimal.

Let's just say that I, and many of my colleagues, would be really pissed off if something like this had happened to us.
The only thing the Neuralink scientists could possibly do in the current situation is rage-quit. For most of them, it's not an option.

I absolutely believe people should let you do as you wish. It's the magic that's enabled Tesla, SpaceX, and others to thrive.
People wanting you to step down don't understand the magic.
The media cycle is quite predictable- Unfortunately, a Neuralink hit piece will probably dominate the headlines soon.
Please keep in mind that whatever craziness gets shared, the team is working tirelessly to bring these great devices to those who need it most. Kudos to them!
Testing Tesla's FSD v12:
Doge Rocket drove me for 45 minutes in the greater Phoenix, Arizona 🏜️ area, with around 5 minutes of sprinkling rain. The areas I went to were well-lit at ~21:00. These are my takeaways:

Many people also don't realize how taxing it is to sell and buy back. Assuming a 25% tax rate:
Scenario A (Selling & buying back strategy):
$100 x 2 = $200. Sell + taxes -> $175

Neuralink was kind enough to open their doors for me to tour their headquarters a few weeks back. It was an amazing experience and a day I'll never forget. This was at a company wide meeting at the end of the day. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Hope y'all enjoy!

There are unfortunately so many who don't want Neuralink to exist/ succeed.
Resisting change usually seems not smart. It's much better to learn to adapt and ride the waves of change. Neuralink is coming and it's going to be widely adopted, someday.

- Tesla has more info than we do
- We *should* be invested because of having confidence in their decision making
- Price cuts are a de facto form of advertising anyway
- Advertising will happen when the time is right
Noland, a 29-year old quadriplegic suffered a freak diving accident 8 years ago and is completely paralyzed from the shoulders down. After being implanted with a Neuralink, Noland now has the freedom to use his computer with just his mind.

There are a lotta people hatin' on Ross in this thread.
My thoughts:
- No auto manufacturer has the talent Tesla has. This is their number 1 biggest advantage.
- The EV landscape is indeed changing, but competition or lack thereof won't be a big issue for Tesla
- Rivian products
Tesla shareholders will have to accept the new paradigm soon. Lots of new challenges the company faces now that it has matured, many issues are finally catching up to them. There is legitimate competition and it is real. $TSLA
One of my favorite things is when a stranger starts excitingly telling me all about Neuralink or Tesla under the presumption that I know little about them

This is what all the young folks would consider as a "Boomer finance bro" take.
I think your reasoning makes sense for most standard brands, but Tesla is much more than that. They build amazing products and are constantly reducing expenses to make those (and future) products
Elon's incredible man. Some folks simply have no clue. He's pioneered change in a wide variety of industries while being involved in both the core engineering and business elements of each business.
He's also honest, relatable, uses double entendres, and is simply hilarious.
