Just want to share this with everyone. Yesterday my 9 year old grandson who is autistic participated in his first Special Olympics. He won a 1st place ribbon but what matters most is the joy it brought to him. He was so happy and proud. This program cannot be cut or taken away.

Finally some good news and I’m sorry but I have to brag! My 20 yr old daughter who was born 3 months early and weighed only 1 lb 7 oz and was only given a 50/50 chance, just completed her last class and now will be getting her Bachelor’s degree. At 20!!!!!! Very proud mom!!!

Here in NYC it’s a beautiful day today, 71° out. I made my once a week trip to go grocery shopping wearing gloves and a mask. we passed parks that are crowded And so is the boardwalk. No social distancing at all. Not many wearing masks or gloves either. I just don’t get it.

This is a slap in the face to all who are sick,who have died from the aftermath of what happened on 9/11. My mother in law is in remission from 9/11 related cancer, my husband lost a cousin that day, my friends husband who was a first responder died last year of cancer from 9/11

On Friday, Majority Leader Schumer turned down a request by Minority Leader McConnell to include a protection for the filibuster in a Senate power-sharing agreement, calling the request “unacceptable.” Schumer added that he wants the same agreement that was established for the last 50-50 Senate in 2001, and called McConnell's request an "extraneous demand." So far today two bot accounts and two maga accounts trying to follow me. One bot had 42 mutual followers with me, one maga had 2. But I’m called mean and not a true resister because I say everyone needs to vet their accounts and not rely on others to do it for them. Can’t win.

My sister in law who is a nurse now has covid. My husband and father in law don’t feel well and in NYC there are so many cases right now that we are having a hard time finding a testing site for them. This is BS. People need to be vaccinated and boosted and wear a mask.
