Just a lil note on the NHS before I go and do #MadameOvary this afternoon. They saved my life. I put the huge, unconditional love I have for this system up with the love I have for my family. They took me seriously, diagnosed me within days, and treated me extremely quickly.

Back here! Got in my fringe feelings earlier this week. I feel safe doing Madame Ovary, I’ve separated myself from it. It’s not therapy - trust me I’ve done that. But along w all my other friends doing 1 person autobiographical shows, we’re offering our trauma up to be judged

Baby’s first tabloid lol. Most important thing to get from this article is just how AMAZING @macmillancancer is and how they and UCLH made me feel safe and valued ❤️ For the record my friends actually thought I was constipated... not pregnant 😉

Huge queue at Finsbury Park tube. Crane my neck to see what the hold up is. It’s a little child trying to tap in with his cereal bar. An absolutely acceptable reason to be late.

Cis people please tweet your outrage! Lift some of this burden from our trans friends and send emails, start conversations n explain to friends why this can’t be happening in 2020. The theatre is a place of safety for many without a voice - let’s not take this voice further away

I had such a brilliant time at Parliament. I felt so welcomed by @eveappeal and @SharonHodgsonMP , and was so touched to hear @GwynneMP talk about his own experience losing his mother to ovarian cancer. Also my day was made meeting @stephiblackwell and her gorgeous mum.

four years ago today i was diagnosed with cancer. i'm always nervous to talk about it all this time later (even though i literally write about cancer as my job..) because i'm scared people will be like 'GET OVER IT' but honestly it was such a shift in my life, and changed (1/?)
