Placing a nuclear weapon in orbit is a clear violation of the Outer Space Treaty. During @HASCRepublicans ’ Strat Forces Subcom hearing, the Assist. Sec. of Defense for Space Policy confirmed that Russia is developing an anti-satellite weapon capable of carrying a nuclear device.

Last week, Russia vetoed a UN Security Council resolution that called on all nations to prevent a nuclear arms race in outer space. At today’s @HASCRepublicans hearing, I asked @SecDef why @POTUS has yet to declassify the extent of Russia’s anti-satellite capabilities in space.

Ukraine is running out of ammunition. Last night, I told @JMathieuReports and @KaileyLeinz that Russia is surging and putting additional pressure on Ukraine’s frontline. We need to give Ukraine additional weapons capabilities, so they can change the dynamics on the battlefield.
