My grandmother at my wedding 8 yrs ago. Yesterday she bowed out at age 90, 3 weeks before her 91st. Swift & painless. I drove to her house when the world was noisy. She knew how to heal with her silence, words & warmth. Her eyes said "I get you. Her love fixed everything. ❤

I was not expecting these two little people to meet me at the finish line of @2OceansMarathon . My boyfriend pulled out of the race the day before (calf injury) & decided to bring the squad to cheer me on. Sweet of him. Now the girls think I won the race because I have a medal😏🤣

19 days after her brain surgery, my mother is out of High Care. In a general ward, sitting on a chair and looking good. She is chatting and laughing. She will start physio to rehabilitate her left side. Feeling blessed and richly favored. Thank you all. End of updates 🤣🤣

I visited their parliament last year. Some cabinet ministers AND opposition MPs were riding their bicycles to work. One of their ministers took me to the cafeteria. They buy their own food and queue like all the other workers.

I wonder if people realize how MASSIVE this #Xolobeni victory is. 15 years, some assassinations and intimidation later, the court has told a post apartheid government that it CANNOT issue mining rights (this time to an Australian company) without getting people's consent. Viva!
